Psalms 85

1 “To the chief musician, by the sons of Korach, a psalm.” Thou hast been favorable, O Lord, unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.

Mai marelui muzician, un psalm pentru fiii lui Core. DOAMNE, tu ai fost binevoitor cu țara ta, ai adus înapoi pe captivii lui Iacob.

2 Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people: thou hast covered over all their sin. (Selah)

Ai iertat nelegiuirea poporului tău, ai acoperit tot păcatul lor. (Selah)

3 Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast relinquished the fierceness of thy anger.

Ți-ai abătut toată furia, te-ai întors de la înverșunarea mâniei tale.

4 Return to us, O God of our salvation, and cause thy ill-will toward us to cease.

Întoarce-ne, Dumnezeul salvării noastre, și fă să înceteze mânia ta față de noi.

5 Wilt thou be wroth with us for ever? wilt thou extend thy anger from generation to generation?

Te vei mânia pe noi pentru totdeauna? Îți vei prelungi mânia din generație în generație?

6 Wilt thou not [now] revive us again, that thy people may rejoice in thee?

Nu ne vei înviora din nou, ca poporul tău să se bucure în tine?

7 Show us thy kindness, O Lord, and grant us thy salvation.

Arată-ne mila ta, DOAMNE, și dă-ne salvarea ta.

8 I will hear what God the Lord will speak; for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his pious ones: only let them not turn again to folly.

Voi asculta ce va vorbi Dumnezeu DOMNUL, căci va vorbi pace poporului său și sfinților săi, dar nu îi lăsa să se întoarcă din nou la nebunie.

9 Surely, nigh is his salvation unto those that fear him: that glory may dwell in our land.

Cu siguranță salvarea lui este aproape de cei ce se tem de el, ca gloria să locuiască în țara noastră.

10 Kindness and truth are met together: righteousness and peace kiss each other.

Mila și adevărul s-au întâlnit; dreptatea și pacea s-au sărutat.

11 Truth will grow up out of the earth, and righteousness will look down from heaven.

Adevărul va țâșni din pământ și dreptatea va privi din cer.

12 Yea, the Lord will also give the good, and our land will yield its products.

Da, DOMNUL va da ce este bun; și țara noastră își va da venitul.

13 Righteousness will walk firmly before him, and will make [level] the way by its steps.

Dreptatea va merge înaintea lui; și ne va așeza pe calea pașilor săi.
