Psalms 85

1 “To the chief musician, by the sons of Korach, a psalm.” Thou hast been favorable, O Lord, unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.

Przewodnikowi chóru. Psalm dla synów Korego. PANIE, okazałeś łaskę swej ziemi, przyprowadziłeś z niewoli Jakuba.

2 Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people: thou hast covered over all their sin. (Selah)

Przebaczyłeś nieprawość twego ludu, zakryłeś wszystkie ich grzechy. (Sela)

3 Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast relinquished the fierceness of thy anger.

Uśmierzyłeś całe swoje zagniewanie, odwróciłeś się od zapalczywości twojego gniewu.

4 Return to us, O God of our salvation, and cause thy ill-will toward us to cease.

Odnów nas, Boże naszego zbawienia, i odwróć od nas swój gniew.

5 Wilt thou be wroth with us for ever? wilt thou extend thy anger from generation to generation?

Czy wiecznie będziesz się na nas gniewać? Czy rozciągniesz swój gniew na wszystkie pokolenia?

6 Wilt thou not [now] revive us again, that thy people may rejoice in thee?

Czy nie ożywisz nas na nowo, aby twój lud rozradował się w tobie?

7 Show us thy kindness, O Lord, and grant us thy salvation.

PANIE, okaż nam twoje miłosierdzie i daj nam swoje zbawienie.

8 I will hear what God the Lord will speak; for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his pious ones: only let them not turn again to folly.

Posłucham, co będzie mówił Bóg, PAN; zaprawdę, ogłosi pokój swojemu ludowi i swoim świętym, aby tylko nie wracali do [swojej] głupoty.

9 Surely, nigh is his salvation unto those that fear him: that glory may dwell in our land.

Doprawdy jego zbawienie jest blisko tych, którzy się go boją, [aby jego] chwała zamieszkała w naszej ziemi.

10 Kindness and truth are met together: righteousness and peace kiss each other.

Miłosierdzie i prawda spotkają się ze sobą, sprawiedliwość i pokój ucałują się.

11 Truth will grow up out of the earth, and righteousness will look down from heaven.

Prawda wyrośnie z ziemi, a sprawiedliwość wyjrzy z nieba.

12 Yea, the Lord will also give the good, and our land will yield its products.

PAN też obdarzy [tym, co] dobre, a nasza ziemia wyda swój plon.

13 Righteousness will walk firmly before him, and will make [level] the way by its steps.

Sprawiedliwość przed nim pójdzie i będzie wytyczać drogę jego krokom.
