Psalms 84
1 “To the chief musician upon Gittith, by the sons of Korach, a psalm.” How lovely are thy dwelling-places, O Lord of hosts!
Mai marelui muzician pe o harpă ghitită, un psalm pentru fiii lui Core. Cât de iubite sunt tabernacolele tale, DOAMNE al oștirilor!
2 My soul desired, yea, it also longed for the courts of the Lord: my heart and my flesh shout with joy unto the living God.
Sufletul meu tânjește, da, chiar leșină după curțile DOMNULUI, inima mea și carnea mea strigă după Dumnezeul cel viu.
3 Even as the sparrow hath found a house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young: —[have I found] thy altars, O Lord of hosts, my King, and my God.
Da, vrabia și-a găsit o casă și rândunica un cuib pentru ea, unde să își culce puii; Ah! altarele tale, DOAMNE al oștirilor, Împăratul meu și Dumnezeul meu.
4 Happy are they who dwell in thy house: they will be continually praising thee. (Selah)
Binecuvântați sunt cei ce locuiesc în casa ta, ei te vor lăuda fără încetare. (Selah)
5 Happy is the man whose strong confidence is in thee, [all] whose heart reflecteth on the paths [of righteousness].
Binecuvântat este omul a cărui tărie este în tine; în inima lor, căile sunt croite.
6 Passing through the valley of weeping, they will change it into a spring: also the early rain covereth it with blessings.
Trecând prin valea Baca, ei o prefac în fântână; ploile de asemenea umplu iazurile.
7 They go from strength to strength, each of them appeareth before God in Zion.
Ei merg din tărie în tărie, toți se arată înaintea lui Dumnezeu în Sion.
8 O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. (Selah)
DOAMNE Dumnezeul oștirilor, ascultă rugăciunea mea, deschide urechea, Dumnezeul lui Iacob. (Selah)
9 [Thou, ] our shield, behold, O God, and look upon the face of thy anointed.
Dumnezeule, scutul nostru, privește, și uită-te la fața unsului tău.
10 For better is a day in thy courts than a thousand [elsewhere]: I would rather choose to wait at the threshold of the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
Căci o zi în curțile tale este mai bună decât o mie. Mai bine să fiu ușier în casa Dumnezeului meu, decât să locuiesc în corturile stricăciunii.
11 For a sun and shield is the Lord God; grace and glory will the Lord give; he will not withhold any good from those that walk with integrity.
Căci DOMNUL Dumnezeu este un soare și un scut; DOMNUL va da har și glorie, nu va opri niciun bine celor ce umblă cu integritate.
12 O Lord of hosts, happy is the man that trusteth in thee.
DOAMNE al oștirilor, binecuvântat este omul care se încrede în tine.
