< Psalms 83 >
1 “A song or psalm of Assaph.” O God, take no rest for thyself: be not silent and keep not still, O God!
Asaf Dwom. Ao Onyankopɔn, ntena hɔ komm; mmua wʼano, Ao Onyankopɔn, keka wo ho.
2 For, lo, thy enemies make a tumult, and they that hate thee have lifted up their head.
Hwɛ sɛdeɛ wʼatamfoɔ keka wɔn ho fa, na wɔn a wɔmpɛ wʼasɛm nso ama wɔn tiri so.
3 Against thy people they take crafty secret device, and they consult against those whom thou protectest.
Wɔde anifire repam atia wo nkurɔfoɔ wɔrepam atia wɔn a wʼakoma da wɔn so no.
4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; and the name of Israel shall be remembered no more.
Wɔka sɛ, “Mommra na yɛnsɛe wɔn sɛ ɔman, sɛdeɛ wɔrenkae Israel din bio.”
5 For they have consulted cordially together; against thee they make a covenant:
Wɔde adwene korɔ bɔ pɔ; na wɔpam tia wo,
6 The tents of Edom, and the Ishmaelites: Moab, and the Hagarenes;
Edom ntomadan ne Ismaelfoɔ, Moabfoɔ ne Hagarfoɔ,
7 Gebal, and 'Ammon, and 'Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
Gebalfoɔ ne Amonfoɔ ne Amalekfoɔ, Filistifoɔ ne Tirofoɔ.
8 Also Asshur is joined with them; they have become an arm unto the children of Lot. (Selah)
Asiria mpo akɔka wɔn ho de wɔn ahoɔden akɔhyɛ Lot asefoɔ deɛ mu kena.
9 Do unto them as [unto] Midian; as to Sissera, as to Jabin, at the brook Kishon:
Yɛ wɔn sɛdeɛ woyɛɛ Midian sɛdeɛ woyɛɛ Sisera ne Yabin wɔ asubɔnten Kison ho no,
10 Who were annihilated at 'En-dor; they became as dung for the ground.
wɔn a wɔsɛee wɔ En-Dor na wɔdanee nwira no.
11 Render them, their nobles, like 'Oreb, and like Zeeb; yea, like Zebach and like Zalmunna' all their princes;
Yɛ wɔn atitire sɛ Oreb ne Seeb, ne wɔn mmapɔmma nyinaa sɛ Seba ne Salmuna,
12 Who said, Let us conquer for ourselves the dwellings of God,
a wɔkaa sɛ, “Momma yɛmfa Onyankopɔn adidibea nsase no.”
13 O my God, render them like the thistle-down, like stubble before the wind.
Ao me Onyankopɔn, yɛ wɔn sɛ twahoframa mu mfuturo, sɛ ntɛtɛ a mframa bɔ guo.
14 As the fire burneth up a forest, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire:
Sɛdeɛ ogya hye kwaeɛ, na ogyaframa sɔ nkokoɔ mu hye no no,
15 So pursue them with thy storm, and with thy whirlwind do thou terrify them.
saa ara na fa wʼahum taa wɔn na fa wo mframa a ano yɛ den no hunahuna wɔn.
16 Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek thy name, O Lord!
Ma animguaseɛ nka wɔn, na ama nnipa apɛ wo din akyiri ɛkwan, Ao Awurade.
17 Let them be made ashamed and terrified for ever and aye; yea, let them be put to the blush and perish:
Ma wɔn anim ngu ase na wɔn abasa mu ntu; ma wɔnwuwu wɔ animguaseɛ mu.
18 That they may know that thou, whose name is the Eternal, art by thyself alone, the Most High over all the earth.
Ma wɔnhunu sɛ wo a wo din de Awurade no, wo nko ara ne Ɔsorosoroni wɔ asase so nyinaa.
