Psalms 83
1 “A song or psalm of Assaph.” O God, take no rest for thyself: be not silent and keep not still, O God!
१आसाप का भजन हे परमेश्वर मौन न रह; हे परमेश्वर चुप न रह, और न शान्त रह!
2 For, lo, thy enemies make a tumult, and they that hate thee have lifted up their head.
२क्योंकि देख तेरे शत्रु धूम मचा रहे हैं; और तेरे बैरियों ने सिर उठाया है।
3 Against thy people they take crafty secret device, and they consult against those whom thou protectest.
३वे चतुराई से तेरी प्रजा की हानि की सम्मति करते, और तेरे रक्षित लोगों के विरुद्ध युक्तियाँ निकालते हैं।
4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; and the name of Israel shall be remembered no more.
४उन्होंने कहा, “आओ, हम उनका ऐसा नाश करें कि राज्य भी मिट जाए; और इस्राएल का नाम आगे को स्मरण न रहे।”
5 For they have consulted cordially together; against thee they make a covenant:
५उन्होंने एक मन होकर युक्ति निकाली है, और तेरे ही विरुद्ध वाचा बाँधी है।
6 The tents of Edom, and the Ishmaelites: Moab, and the Hagarenes;
६ये तो एदोम के तम्बूवाले और इश्माएली, मोआबी और हग्री,
7 Gebal, and 'Ammon, and 'Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
७गबाली, अम्मोनी, अमालेकी, और सोर समेत पलिश्ती हैं।
8 Also Asshur is joined with them; they have become an arm unto the children of Lot. (Selah)
८इनके संग अश्शूरी भी मिल गए हैं; उनसे भी लूतवंशियों को सहारा मिला है। (सेला)
9 Do unto them as [unto] Midian; as to Sissera, as to Jabin, at the brook Kishon:
९इनसे ऐसा कर जैसा मिद्यानियों से, और कीशोन नाले में सीसरा और याबीन से किया था,
10 Who were annihilated at 'En-dor; they became as dung for the ground.
१०वे एनदोर में नाश हुए, और भूमि के लिये खाद बन गए।
11 Render them, their nobles, like 'Oreb, and like Zeeb; yea, like Zebach and like Zalmunna' all their princes;
११इनके रईसों को ओरेब और जेब सरीखे, और इनके सब प्रधानों को जेबह और सल्मुन्ना के समान कर दे,
12 Who said, Let us conquer for ourselves the dwellings of God,
१२जिन्होंने कहा था, “हम परमेश्वर की चराइयों के अधिकारी आप ही हो जाएँ।”
13 O my God, render them like the thistle-down, like stubble before the wind.
१३हे मेरे परमेश्वर इनको बवंडर की धूलि, या पवन से उड़ाए हुए भूसे के समान कर दे।
14 As the fire burneth up a forest, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire:
१४उस आग के समान जो वन को भस्म करती है, और उस लौ के समान जो पहाड़ों को जला देती है,
15 So pursue them with thy storm, and with thy whirlwind do thou terrify them.
१५तू इन्हें अपनी आँधी से भगा दे, और अपने बवंडर से घबरा दे!
16 Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek thy name, O Lord!
१६इनके मुँह को अति लज्जित कर, कि हे यहोवा ये तेरे नाम को ढूँढ़ें।
17 Let them be made ashamed and terrified for ever and aye; yea, let them be put to the blush and perish:
१७ये सदा के लिये लज्जित और घबराए रहें, इनके मुँह काले हों, और इनका नाश हो जाए,
18 That they may know that thou, whose name is the Eternal, art by thyself alone, the Most High over all the earth.
१८जिससे ये जानें कि केवल तू जिसका नाम यहोवा है, सारी पृथ्वी के ऊपर परमप्रधान है।
