< Psalms 80 >
1 “To the chief musician upon Shoshannim; an 'Eduth by Assaph; a psalm.” O Shepherd of Israel, give ear, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth.

2 Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Menasseh awaken thy might, and come to our help.
níwájú Efraimu, Benjamini àti Manase. Ru agbára rẹ̀ sókè; wá fún ìgbàlà wa.
3 O God, cause us to return, and let thy countenance shine, that we may be saved.
Mú wa padà bọ̀ sípò, ìwọ Ọlọ́run; jẹ́ kí ojú rẹ kí ó tan ìmọ́lẹ̀ sí wa, kí a bá à lè gbà wá là.
4 O Lord of hosts, how long shall thy anger smoke against the prayer of thy people?
Olúwa Ọlọ́run alágbára, ìbínú rẹ̀ yóò ti pẹ́ tó sí àdúrà àwọn ènìyàn rẹ?
5 Thou feedest them with the bread of tears, and givest them tears to drink in great measure.
Ìwọ ti fi oúnjẹ bọ́ wọn ìwọ ti mú wọn wa ẹkún mu ní ẹ̀kúnrẹ́rẹ́.
6 Thou renderest us a contest unto our neighbors: and our enemies hold derision among themselves.
Ìwọ sọ wá di ẹlẹ́yà fún àwọn aládùúgbò wa, àwọn ọ̀tá wa sì ń yọ̀ wá.
7 O God of hosts, cause us to return, and let thy countenance shine, that we may be saved.
Tún wa yípadà, ìwọ, Ọlọ́run alágbára; jẹ́ kí ojú rẹ tàn sí wa, kí a ba à lè gbà wá là.
8 A vine didst thou remove out of Egypt: thou drovest out nations, and plantedst it.
Ìwọ mú àjàrà jáde láti Ejibiti; ìwọ lé àwọn kèfèrí jáde, o sì gbìn ín.
9 Thou didst clear out a place before it, and it struck its root deeply, and it filled the land.
Ìwọ ṣí ààyè sílẹ̀ fún un, ìwọ sì mu ta gbòǹgbò jinlẹ̀ ó sì kún ilẹ̀ náà.
10 Mountains were covered with its shadow, and with its boughs the cedars of God.
A bò àwọn òkè mọ́lẹ̀ òkè pẹ̀lú òjìji rẹ̀, ẹ̀ka rẹ̀ dàbí kedari Ọlọ́run.
11 It sent out its tendrils as far as the sea, and unto the river its suckers.
O yọ ẹ̀ka rẹ̀ sínú Òkun, ọwọ́ rẹ̀ sí odò ńlá nì.
12 Wherefore hast thou now broken down its fences, so that all who pass by the way pluck the fruit from it?
Èéṣe tí ìwọ fi wó odi rẹ̀ tí àwọn ènìyàn tí ó ń kọjá fi ń ṣa èso rẹ̀?
13 The boar out of the forest doth gnaw at it, and what moveth on the field feedeth on it.
Ìmàdò láti inú igbó ń bá a jẹ́ àti ẹranko igbó ń jẹ ẹ́ run.
14 O God of hosts, return; I pray thee, look down from heaven, and behold, and think of this vine;
Yípadà sí wa, àwa ń bẹ̀ ọ́, Ọlọ́run alágbára! Bojú wolẹ̀ láti ọ̀run kí o sì wò ó! Kí o sì bẹ àjàrà yìí wò,
15 And of the sprout which thy right hand hath planted, and of the branch that thou hast made strong for thyself.
gbòǹgbò èyí tí ọwọ́ ọ̀tún rẹ ti gbìn, àti ẹ̀ka tí ìwọ ti mú lágbára fún ara rẹ.
16 It is burnt with fire, it is hewn down; because of the rebuke of thy countenance do they perish.
A gé àjàrà rẹ lulẹ̀, a ti fi iná sun ún; ní ìfibú, àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀ ń ṣègbé.
17 Let thy hand be over the man of thy right hand, over the son of man whom thou hast made strong for thyself.
Jẹ́ kí ọwọ́ rẹ kí ó wà lára ọkùnrin tí ó wà ní ọwọ́ ọ̀tún rẹ, ọmọ ènìyàn tí ìwọ tí gbé kalẹ̀ fún ara rẹ.
18 Then will we not swerve from thee: revive us again, and we will call on thy name.
Nígbà náà àwa kí yóò yípadà kúrò lọ́dọ̀ rẹ; mú wa yè, àwa o sì máa pe orúkọ rẹ.
19 O Lord God of hosts, cause us to return: let thy countenance shine, that we may be saved.
Tún wa yípadà, Olúwa Ọlọ́run alágbára; kí ojú rẹ̀ kí ó tan ìmọ́lẹ̀ sí wa, kí á ba à lè gbà wá là.
