Psalms 80
1 “To the chief musician upon Shoshannim; an 'Eduth by Assaph; a psalm.” O Shepherd of Israel, give ear, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth.
Escucha, oh Guardián de Israel, guiando a José como un rebaño; tú que tienes tu asiento con los ángeles. deja que se vea tu gloria.
2 Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Menasseh awaken thy might, and come to our help.
Delante de Efraín, de Benjamín y de Manasés, despierta de tu sueño, y ven a salvarnos.
3 O God, cause us to return, and let thy countenance shine, that we may be saved.
Llévanos de nuevo, oh Dios; veamos el brillo de tu rostro y déjanos estar a salvo.
4 O Lord of hosts, how long shall thy anger smoke against the prayer of thy people?
Oh Jehová Dios de los ejércitos, ¿hasta cuándo se encenderá tu ira contra la oración de tu pueblo?
5 Thou feedest them with the bread of tears, and givest them tears to drink in great measure.
Les diste el pan de llanto para comer; por su bebida les has dado tristeza en gran medida.
6 Thou renderest us a contest unto our neighbors: and our enemies hold derision among themselves.
Nos haces causa de guerra entre nuestros vecinos; nuestros enemigos se están riendo de nosotros entre ellos.
7 O God of hosts, cause us to return, and let thy countenance shine, that we may be saved.
Llévanos de nuevo, oh Dios de los ejércitos; veamos el brillo de tu rostro y déjanos estar a salvo.
8 A vine didst thou remove out of Egypt: thou drovest out nations, and plantedst it.
Sacaste una vid de Egipto, expulsando a las naciones y plantando en su tierra.
9 Thou didst clear out a place before it, and it struck its root deeply, and it filled the land.
Preparó un lugar para ello, para que arraigara profundamente, y envió sus ramas sobre toda la tierra.
10 Mountains were covered with its shadow, and with its boughs the cedars of God.
Las montañas estaban cubiertas con su sombra, y los grandes árboles con sus ramas.
11 It sent out its tendrils as far as the sea, and unto the river its suckers.
Envió sus armas al mar, y sus ramas al río.
12 Wherefore hast thou now broken down its fences, so that all who pass by the way pluck the fruit from it?
¿Por qué derribar sus muros con tus manos, para que todos los que pasan puedan tomar su fruto?
13 The boar out of the forest doth gnaw at it, and what moveth on the field feedeth on it.
Es desarraigado por los cerdos del bosque, las bestias del campo obtienen su alimento de él.
14 O God of hosts, return; I pray thee, look down from heaven, and behold, and think of this vine;
Vuelve, oh Dios de los ejércitos: desde el cielo vuelven tus ojos a esta vid, y concéntrate en ella,
15 And of the sprout which thy right hand hath planted, and of the branch that thou hast made strong for thyself.
Hasta el árbol que fue plantado a tu diestra, y al árbol que para ti afirmaste.
16 It is burnt with fire, it is hewn down; because of the rebuke of thy countenance do they perish.
Se quema con fuego; es cortado: son destruidos por la ira de tu rostro.
17 Let thy hand be over the man of thy right hand, over the son of man whom thou hast made strong for thyself.
Sea tu mano sobre el varón de tu diestra, sobre el hijo de hombre, que para ti afirmaste.
18 Then will we not swerve from thee: revive us again, and we will call on thy name.
Así no nos apartaremos de ti; guárdanos en la vida y alabaremos tu nombre.
19 O Lord God of hosts, cause us to return: let thy countenance shine, that we may be saved.
Llévanos, oh Jehová Dios de los ejércitos; restáuranos! veamos el brillo de tu rostro y déjanos estar a salvo.
