Psalms 80
1 “To the chief musician upon Shoshannim; an 'Eduth by Assaph; a psalm.” O Shepherd of Israel, give ear, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth.
Untuk pemimpin biduan. Menurut lagu: Bunga bakung. Kesaksian Asaf. Mazmur. Hai gembala Israel, pasanglah telinga, Engkau yang menggiring Yusuf sebagai kawanan domba! Ya Engkau, yang duduk di atas para kerub, tampillah bersinar
2 Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Menasseh awaken thy might, and come to our help.
di depan Efraim dan Benyamin dan Manasye! Bangkitkanlah keperkasaan-Mu dan datanglah untuk menyelamatkan kami.
3 O God, cause us to return, and let thy countenance shine, that we may be saved.
Ya Allah, pulihkanlah kami, buatlah wajah-Mu bersinar, maka kami akan selamat.
4 O Lord of hosts, how long shall thy anger smoke against the prayer of thy people?
TUHAN, Allah semesta alam, berapa lama lagi murka-Mu menyala sekalipun umat-Mu berdoa?
5 Thou feedest them with the bread of tears, and givest them tears to drink in great measure.
Engkau memberi mereka makan roti cucuran air mata, Engkau memberi mereka minum air mata berlimpah-limpah,
6 Thou renderest us a contest unto our neighbors: and our enemies hold derision among themselves.
Engkau membuat kami menjadi pokok percederaan tetangga-tetangga kami, dan musuh-musuh kami mengolok-olok kami.
7 O God of hosts, cause us to return, and let thy countenance shine, that we may be saved.
Ya Allah semesta alam, pulihkanlah kami, buatlah wajah-Mu bersinar, maka kami akan selamat.
8 A vine didst thou remove out of Egypt: thou drovest out nations, and plantedst it.
Telah Kauambil pohon anggur dari Mesir, telah Kauhalau bangsa-bangsa, lalu Kautanam pohon itu.
9 Thou didst clear out a place before it, and it struck its root deeply, and it filled the land.
Engkau telah menyediakan tempat bagi dia, maka berakarlah ia dalam-dalam dan memenuhi negeri;
10 Mountains were covered with its shadow, and with its boughs the cedars of God.
gunung-gunung terlindung oleh bayang-bayangnya, dan pohon-pohon aras Allah oleh cabang-cabangnya;
11 It sent out its tendrils as far as the sea, and unto the river its suckers.
dijulurkannya ranting-rantingnya sampai ke laut, dan pucuk-pucuknya sampai ke sungai Efrat.
12 Wherefore hast thou now broken down its fences, so that all who pass by the way pluck the fruit from it?
Mengapa Engkau melanda temboknya, sehingga ia dipetik oleh setiap orang yang lewat?
13 The boar out of the forest doth gnaw at it, and what moveth on the field feedeth on it.
Babi hutan menggerogotinya dan binatang-binatang di padang memakannya.
14 O God of hosts, return; I pray thee, look down from heaven, and behold, and think of this vine;
Ya Allah semesta alam, kembalilah kiranya, pandanglah dari langit, dan lihatlah! Indahkanlah pohon anggur ini,
15 And of the sprout which thy right hand hath planted, and of the branch that thou hast made strong for thyself.
batang yang ditanam oleh tangan kanan-Mu!
16 It is burnt with fire, it is hewn down; because of the rebuke of thy countenance do they perish.
Mereka telah membakarnya dengan api dan menebangnya; biarlah mereka hilang lenyap oleh hardik wajah-Mu!
17 Let thy hand be over the man of thy right hand, over the son of man whom thou hast made strong for thyself.
Kiranya tangan-Mu melindungi orang yang di sebelah kanan-Mu, anak manusia yang telah Kauteguhkan bagi diri-Mu itu,
18 Then will we not swerve from thee: revive us again, and we will call on thy name.
maka kami tidak akan menyimpang dari pada-Mu. Biarkanlah kami hidup, maka kami akan menyerukan nama-Mu.
19 O Lord God of hosts, cause us to return: let thy countenance shine, that we may be saved.
Ya TUHAN, Allah semesta alam, pulihkanlah kami, buatlah wajah-Mu bersinar, maka kami akan selamat.
