< Psalms 8 >

1 “To the chief musician upon Gittith, a psalm of David.” O Eternal One our Lord, how excellent is thy name on all the earth! thou who hast set thy majesty above the heavens.
Nkunga Davidi kuidi pfumu minyimbidi mu ngitala yi basi Ngati. Yave, Pfumu eto! Tala buevi dizina diaku didi di nzitusu va ntoto wumvimba. Ngeyo wutula nkemboꞌaku viokila diyilu.
2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou founded [thy] might, because of thy opponents, that thou mightest bring to silence the enemy and him that seeketh vengeance.
Mu bididi bi bana balezi ayi bi bana batsombi, ngeyo wutuma mu totukila nzitusu mu diambu di bambeni ziaku; mu diambu di kanga miunu mi bobo beti ku lenda, ayi mutu wowo wumvutulanga mambimbi mu mambimbi.
3 When I behold thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast established: —
Bu ndieti tala diyilu diaku, kisalu ki minlembo miaku, ngonda ayi zimbuetete ziozi wutula va buangu;
4 What is the mortal, that thou rememberest him? and the son of man, that thou thinkest of him:
buna mbi biobi mutu mu diambu wuntebukilanga moyo, ayi muana mutu mu diambu wumbelanga mayindu e?
5 Yet thou hast made him but a little less than angels, and hast crowned him with honor and glory.
Ngeyo wumvanga kaba fioti ku tsi bivangu bi diyilu ayi ngeyo wumvuika nkembo ayi nzitusu,
6 Thou hast given him dominion over the works of thy hands; every thing hast thou placed beneath his feet:
Ngeyo wunkitula nyadi mu bisalu bi mioko miaku, ngeyo wutula bima bioso ku tsi malu mandi:
7 Flocks and herds altogether, and also the beasts of the field;
mamemi moso ayi zingombi zioso; bibulu bioso binsitu,
8 The birds of heaven, and the fishes of the sea, whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
zinuni zi yilu ayi zimbizi zi mbu, bibioso bindiatilanga mu minsolo mi mbu.
9 O Eternal One our Lord, how excellent is thy name on all the earth!
A Yave, Pfumu eto! Tala buevi dizina diaku didi di nzitusu va ntoto wumvimba.
