< Psalms 8 >
1 “To the chief musician upon Gittith, a psalm of David.” O Eternal One our Lord, how excellent is thy name on all the earth! thou who hast set thy majesty above the heavens.
Wuta na buku ya mokambi ya bayembi. Nzembo ya Davidi; ezali ya koyemba na lindanda ya bato ya Gati. Oh Yawe, Nkolo na biso, Kombo na Yo ezali monene kati na mokili mobimba! Ovandisi nkembo na Yo kati na Lola.
2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou founded [thy] might, because of thy opponents, that thou mightest bring to silence the enemy and him that seeketh vengeance.
Na nzela ya masanzoli ya bana mpe bana mike, otelemisi ndako batonga makasi, mpo na kotelemela bayini na Yo mpe kokanga monoko ya monguna mpe ya moto oyo alingaka kozongisa mabe na mabe.
3 When I behold thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast established: —
Tango natalaka Lola na Yo, mosala ya misapi na Yo, sanza mpe minzoto oyo otia,
4 What is the mortal, that thou rememberest him? and the son of man, that thou thinkest of him:
namitunaka: Moto azali nini mpo ete okanisa ye, mpe moto azali nani mpo ete obatela ye?
5 Yet thou hast made him but a little less than angels, and hast crowned him with honor and glory.
Osalaki ye moke koleka ba-anjelu mpe olatisaka ye motole ya nkembo mpe ya lokumu;
6 Thou hast given him dominion over the works of thy hands; every thing hast thou placed beneath his feet:
otia ye moyangeli ya misala ya maboko na Yo, otia nyonso na se ya matambe na ye:
7 Flocks and herds altogether, and also the beasts of the field;
bameme, bantaba, bangombe mpe banyama ya zamba,
8 The birds of heaven, and the fishes of the sea, whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
bandeke ya likolo, mbisi ya ebale monene mpe nyonso oyo etambolaka na bibale.
9 O Eternal One our Lord, how excellent is thy name on all the earth!
Oh Yawe, Nkolo na biso, Kombo na Yo ezali monene kati na mokili mobimba!
