Psalms 8

1 “To the chief musician upon Gittith, a psalm of David.” O Eternal One our Lord, how excellent is thy name on all the earth! thou who hast set thy majesty above the heavens.

১প্রধান বাদ্যকরের জন্য, স্বর, গিত্তিৎ, দায়ূদের গীত সদাপ্রভুু আমাদের প্রভু, সমস্ত পৃথিবীতে তোমার নাম কত মহান, তোমার মহিমা স্বর্গেও প্রকাশিত হয়

2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou founded [thy] might, because of thy opponents, that thou mightest bring to silence the enemy and him that seeketh vengeance.

২তুমি শিশু ও নাবালকদের মুখ থেকে প্রশংসা সৃষ্টি করেছ কারণ তোমার বিরোধীদের জন্যই তা করেছ,

3 When I behold thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast established: —

৩যখন আমি তোমার স্বর্গের দিকে তাকালাম যা তোমার আঙ্গুল তৈরী করেছে, চাঁদ এবং তারাদের তুমি স্থাপন করেছ,

4 What is the mortal, that thou rememberest him? and the son of man, that thou thinkest of him:

৪মানবজাতি কেন এত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ যে তুমি তাদের লক্ষ্য কর, মানবজাতিই বা কে যে তুমি তাদের প্রতি মনোযোগ দাও?

5 Yet thou hast made him but a little less than angels, and hast crowned him with honor and glory.

৫যদিও তুমি তাদেরকে স্বর্গীয়দের তুলনায় কিছুটা নিম্নতর করে বানিয়েছ এবং তুমি তাদেরকে গৌরব ও সম্মানের সঙ্গে সম্মানিত করেছ,

6 Thou hast given him dominion over the works of thy hands; every thing hast thou placed beneath his feet:

৬তুমি তাকে তোমার হাতের কাজের উপর কর্তৃত্ব করতে দিয়েছ এবং সমস্ত কিছু তার পায়ের নিচে রেখেছ,

7 Flocks and herds altogether, and also the beasts of the field;

৭সমস্ত ভেড়া এবং ষাঁড় ও এমনকি ক্ষেত্রের প্রাণীরাও।

8 The birds of heaven, and the fishes of the sea, whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

৮আকাশের পাখিরা এবং সমুদ্রের মাছ, যা কিছু সমুদ্রের স্রোতের মধ্যে দিয়ে যায়।

9 O Eternal One our Lord, how excellent is thy name on all the earth!

৯সদাপ্রভুু আমাদের প্রভু, সমস্ত পৃথিবীতে তোমার নাম কত মহান!
