Psalms 76
1 “To the chief musician on Neginoth, a psalm or song of Assaph.” In Judah hath God been made known: in Israel is his name great.
Для дириґента хору. На неґінах. Псалом Аса́фів. Пісня. Бог знаний у Юді, Його Йме́ння велике в Ізраїлі!
2 And in Salem was his tabernacle made, and his dwelling-place in Zion.
У Сали́мі намет Його, а мешка́ння Його на Сіоні, —
3 There broke he the shining arrows of the bow, shield, and sword, and battle. (Selah)
Він там полама́в стріли лу́ку, щита́ та меча, та війну́! (Се́ла)
4 Thou art more brilliant, more excellent than the mountains [full] of prey.
Ти осяйни́й, потужніший за го́ри відві́чні.
5 Bereft of reason are the stouthearted, they slumber their sleep: and none of the men of might have found [the use of] their hands.
Обдерто людей сильносе́рдих, задріма́ли вони своїм сном, — і не знайшли своїх рук усі мужі військо́ві.
6 From thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, lie in deep sleep both chariot and horse.
Від сварі́ння Твого́, Боже Яковів, оглу́шується колесни́ця та кінь:
7 Thou—thou art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thy anger [is kindled]?
Ти — Ти грізний, і хто перед обличчям Твоїм устоїть ча́су гніву Твого?
8 From heaven hast thou caused [thy] sentence to be heard: the earth feared, and became still,
Як звіщаєш Ти суд із небе́с, то боїться й стиха́є земля,
9 When God rose to judgment, to save all the lowly of the earth. (Selah)
як встає Бог на суд, щоб спасти́ всіх покі́рних землі! (Се́ла)
10 For the fury of man shall praise thee: the remainder of the fury wilt thou gird about thee.
Бо й гнів лю́дський Тебе вихваля́є, решту ж гніву Ти по́ясом в'я́жеш.
11 Make vows, and pay [them] unto the Lord your God, all ye that are round about him: let men bring presents unto him that exciteth fear.
Присягайте й виконуйте Господу, Богові вашому, усі, хто Його оточа́є, хай прино́сять дарунка Грізно́му:
12 He will cut down the spirit of the powerful: he is terrible to the kings of the earth.
Він духа вельмож впокоря́є, страшни́й Він для зе́мних царів!
