Psalms 72

1 “By Solomon.” O God, give unto the king thy decisions, and thy righteousness unto the king's son.

சாலொமோனின் சங்கீதம். இறைவனே, அரசனுக்கு உமது நியாயமான தீர்ப்பையும் இளவரசனுக்கு உமது நீதியையும் கொடும்.

2 He shall decide for thy people with righteousness, and for thy afflicted with justice.

அப்பொழுது அவர் உமது மக்களை நீதியோடும், துன்பப்பட்ட உம்முடையவர்களை நேர்மை தவறாமலும் நியாயந்தீர்ப்பார்.

3 The mountains shall bear peace for the people, and the hills [the same], through righteousness.

மலைகள் அனைவருக்கும் செழிப்பை உண்டாக்கட்டும், குன்றுகள் நீதியின் பலனைக் கொண்டுவரட்டும்.

4 He shall judge the afflicted of the people, he shall give help to the children of the needy; but he shall crush the oppressor.

மக்கள் மத்தியில் ஒடுக்கப்பட்டவர்களை அவர் பாதுகாத்து, ஏழைகளின் பிள்ளைகளைக் காப்பாற்றட்டும்; ஒடுக்குவோரை அவர் நொறுக்கிப்போடட்டும்.

5 They shall fear thee as long as the sun shineth, and in the presence of the moon, throughout all generations.

சூரியனும் சந்திரனும் உள்ளமட்டும், தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக அவர்கள் உமக்குப் பயந்திருப்பார்கள்.

6 He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass, as showers which are dropping on the earth.

அரசர் புல்வெட்டப்பட்ட வயலின்மேல் பொழியும் மழையைப்போலவும், பூமியை நீர்ப்பாய்ச்சும் மழைத்தூறலைப் போலவும் அரசரின் ஆட்சி புத்துணர்ச்சி அடையட்டும்.

7 In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace [shall be] till the moon shall be no more.

அவருடைய நாட்களில் நீதிமான்கள் செழிப்பார்கள்; சந்திரனுள்ளவரைக்கும் மிகுந்த சமாதானம் இருக்கும்.

8 And he shall have dominion from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.

ஒரு கடலில் இருந்து மறுகடல் வரைக்கும், நதிதொடங்கி பூமியின் எல்லைகள் வரைக்கும் அரசர் ஆளுகை செய்யட்டும்.

9 Before him shall bend down those that dwell in the wilderness; and his enemies shall lick the dust.

பாலைவன வாசிகள் அவருக்குமுன் பணிவார்கள்; அவருடைய பகைவர்கள் மண்ணை நக்குவார்கள்.

10 The kings of Tharshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.

தர்ஷீசு மற்றும் தூரத்து தீவுகளின் அரசர்கள் அவருக்கு காணிக்கைகளைக் கொண்டுவரட்டும்; ஷேபாவும், சேபாவின் அரசர்களும் அவருக்கு அன்பளிப்புகளைக் கொடுக்கட்டும்.

11 Yea, there shall bow down before him all kings: all nations shall serve him.

எல்லா அரசர்களும் அவரை வணங்கட்டும்; எல்லா நாடுகளும் அவருக்குப் பணிவிடை செய்யட்டும்.

12 For he will deliver the needy when he crieth; the afflicted also, who hath no helper.

ஏனெனில் கதறுகின்ற ஏழைகளையும் உதவி செய்வாரின்றித் தவிக்கும் எளியோரையும் அவர் விடுவிப்பார்.

13 He will spare the poor and needy; and the souls of the needy will he assist.

பலவீனருக்கும் எளியோருக்கும் அவர் அனுதாபங்காட்டி, எளியோரை மரணத்திலிருந்து காப்பாற்றுவார்.

14 From wrong and violence will he deliver their soul; and precious shall their blood be in his eyes.

அவர்களை ஒடுக்குதலுக்கும் வன்செயலுக்கும் தப்புவிப்பார்; ஏனெனில் அவர்களுடைய வாழ்க்கை அவருடைய பார்வையில் விலையுயர்ந்ததாய் இருக்கும்.

15 And he shall live; and he will give him of the gold of Sheba: and he will pray in his behalf continually; all the time will he bless him.

அவர் நீடித்து வாழ்வாராக! சேபாவின் தங்கம் அவருக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படுவதாக; மக்கள் எக்காலத்திலும் அவருக்காக மன்றாடி, நாள்தோறும் அவரை ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்களாக.

16 There shall be an abundance of corn in the land; upon the top of the mountains its fruit shall shake like [the trees of] Lebanon; and [men] shall blossom out of the city like herbs of the earth.

நாட்டிலே தானியம் மிகுதியாக விளையட்டும்; குன்றுகளின் உச்சியில் தானியக்கதிர்கள் அசையட்டும்; அதின் உற்பத்தி லெபனோனைப்போல செழிக்கட்டும்; அதின் பட்டணத்தார் வெளியின் புல்லைப்போல் செழித்து வளருவார்களாக.

17 His name will endure for ever; in the presence of the sun his name shall flourish: and men shall bless themselves with him: all nations shall call him happy.

அவருடைய பெயர் என்றும் நிலைத்திருப்பதாக; சூரியன் உள்ளமட்டும் அது தொடர்ந்திருப்பதாக. எல்லா நாடுகளும் அவர்மூலம் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டிருப்பார்கள்; அவர்கள் அவரை ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவர் என்று அழைப்பார்கள்.

18 Blessed be the Lord the God, the God of Israel, who alone doth wondrous things.

இஸ்ரயேலின் இறைவனாயிருக்கிற, யெகோவாவாகிய இறைவனுக்குத் துதி உண்டாவதாக; அவர் அதிசயமான செயல்களைச் செய்கிறார்.

19 And blessed he his glorious name for ever; and with his glory may the whole earth be filled: Amen, and Amen.

அவருடைய மகத்துவமான பெயர் என்றென்றும் துதிக்கப்படுவதாக; பூமி முழுவதும் அவருடைய மகிமையால் நிரம்புவதாக.

20 Here are ended the prayers of David the son of Jesse.

ஈசாயின் மகன் தாவீதின் மன்றாட்டுகள் இத்துடன் நிறைவுபெறுகின்றன.
