Psalms 71
1 In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be made ashamed.
主よ、わたしはあなたに寄り頼む。とこしえにわたしをはずかしめないでください。
2 In thy righteousness do thou deliver me and release me: incline thy ear unto me, and save me.
あなたの義をもってわたしを助け、わたしを救い出してください。あなたの耳を傾けて、わたしをお救いください。
3 Be thou unto me a rocky habitation, whereunto I may continually resort, which thou hast ordained to save me; for my rock and my strong-hold art thou.
わたしのためにのがれの岩となり、わたしを救う堅固な城となってください。あなたはわが岩、わが城だからです。
4 O my God, release me out of the hand of the wicked, out of the grasp of the unrighteous and violent man.
わが神よ、悪しき者の手からわたしを救い、不義、残忍な人の支配から、わたしを救い出してください。
5 For thou art my hope, O Lord Eternal: thou art my trust from my youth.
主なる神よ、あなたはわたしの若い時からのわたしの望み、わたしの頼みです。
6 By thee have I been supported from my birth: thou art he that took me out of my mother's womb: of thee is my praise continually.
わたしは生れるときからあなたに寄り頼みました。あなたはわたしを母の胎から取り出されたかたです。わたしは常にあなたをほめたたえます。
7 As a wonderful token have I been unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.
わたしは多くの人に怪しまれるような者となりました。しかしあなたはわたしの堅固な避け所です。
8 My mouth shall be filled with thy praise, and with thy glory all the day.
わたしの口はひねもす、あなたをたたえるさんびと、頌栄とをもって満たされています。
9 Cast me not off in the time of old age: when my strength faileth, forsake me not.
わたしが年老いた時、わたしを見離さないでください。わたしが力衰えた時、わたしを見捨てないでください。
10 For my enemies speak of me; and they that watch for my soul take counsel together,
わたしの敵はわたしについて語り、わたしのいのちをうかがう者は共にはかって、
11 Saying, “God hath forsaken him: pursue and seize him: for there is none to deliver.”
「神は彼を見捨てた。彼を助ける者がないから彼を追って捕えよ」と言います。
12 O God, be not far from me: O my God, hasten to my help.
神よ、わたしに遠ざからないでください。わが神よ、すみやかに来てわたしを助けてください。
13 Let those be made ashamed, let them perish, that are adversaries to my soul: let those be covered with reproach and dishonor that seek my unhappiness.
わたしにあだする者を恥じさせ、滅ぼしてください。わたしをそこなわんとする者を、そしりと、はずかしめとをもっておおってください。
14 But I will continually hope, and will add yet more to all thy praise.
しかしわたしは絶えず望みをいだいて、いよいよあなたをほめたたえるでしょう。
15 My mouth shall relate thy righteousness, all the day thy salvation; for I know not their numbers.
わたしの口はひねもすあなたの義と、あなたの救とを語るでしょう。わたしはその数を知らないからです。
16 I will come to praise the mighty deeds of the Lord Eternal: I will make mention of thy righteousness, yea, thine only.
わたしは主なる神の大能のみわざを携えゆき、ただあなたの義のみを、ほめたたえるでしょう。
17 O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto I ever tell of thy wondrous deeds.
神よ、あなたはわたしを若い時から教えられました。わたしはなお、あなたのくすしきみわざを宣べ伝えます。
18 Therefore also even in old age, and when I am grayheaded, O God, forsake me not: until I have told of thy strength unto [this] generation, to every one that may come of thy might.
神よ、わたしが年老いて、しらがとなるとも、あなたの力をきたらんとするすべての代に宣べ伝えるまで、わたしを見捨てないでください。
19 And thy righteousness, O God, reacheth even to the height, thou, who hast done great things: O God, who is like thee!
神よ、あなたの大能と義とは高い天にまで及ぶ。あなたは大いなる事をなされました。神よ、だれかあなたに等しい者があるでしょうか。
20 Thou, who hast shown me great distresses and misfortunes, wilt again revive me; and from the depths of the earth wilt thou bring me up again.
あなたはわたしを多くの重い悩みにあわされましたが、再びわたしを生かし、地の深い所から引きあげられるでしょう。
21 Thou wilt increase my greatness, and wilt turn round and comfort me.
あなたはわたしの誉を増し、再びわたしを慰められるでしょう。
22 Also I, I will thank thee with the psaltery, [for] thy truth, O my God: I will sing unto thee with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.
わが神よ、わたしはまた立琴をもってあなたと、あなたのまこととをほめたたえます。イスラエルの聖者よ、わたしは琴をもってあなたをほめ歌います。
23 My lips shall shout joyfully when I sing unto thee; and my soul [too], which thou hast redeemed.
わたしがあなたにむかってほめ歌うとき、わがくちびるは喜び呼ばわり、あなたがあがなわれたわが魂もまた喜び呼ばわるでしょう。
24 Also my tongue shall speak all the day of thy righteousness; for ashamed, for put to the blush are those that seek my unhappiness.
わたしの舌もまたひねもすあなたの義を語るでしょう。わたしをそこなわんとした者が恥じあわてたからです。
