< Psalms 70 >
1 “To the chief musician, by David, to bring to remembrance.” O God, [arise] to deliver me; O Lord, make haste to help me.
Dura buʼaa faarfattootaatiif. Faarfannaa Daawiti. Yaa Waaqi, na fayyisuuf ariifadhu; yaa Waaqayyo, na gargaaruuf dafii kottu.
2 Let those that seek after my life be made ashamed and put to the blush: let those that desire my unhappiness be turned backward and put to confusion.
Warri lubbuu koo galaafachuu barbaadan hundinuu, haa qaanaʼan; haa burjaajaʼanis; warri badii koo hawwan hundi qaanaʼanii duubatti haa deebiʼan.
3 Let them be turned backward in consequence of their shame, that say, Aha, aha.
Warri, “Baga! Baga!” anaan jedhan qaanaʼanii duubatti haa deebiʼan.
4 Let all those that seek thee be glad and rejoice in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, God is great.
Warri si barbaadan hundinuu garuu sitti gammadanii haa ililchan; warri fayyisuu kee jaallatan, yeroo hunda, “Waaqni guddaa dha!” haa jedhan.
5 But I am poor and needy, O God: come hastily unto me; my help and my deliverer art thou: O Lord, do not delay.
Ani garuu hiyyeessaa fi rakkataa dha; yaa Waaqi, dafii na qaqqabi. Ati gargaaraa koo fi fayyisaa koo ti; yaa Waaqayyo hin turin.
