Psalms 70

1 “To the chief musician, by David, to bring to remembrance.” O God, [arise] to deliver me; O Lord, make haste to help me.

Zborovođi. Davidov. Za spomen. O Bože, spasi me, Jahve, u pomoć mi pohitaj!

2 Let those that seek after my life be made ashamed and put to the blush: let those that desire my unhappiness be turned backward and put to confusion.

Nek' se postide i smetu svi koji mi o glavi rade! Nek' odstupe i nek' se posrame koji se nesreći mojoj raduju!

3 Let them be turned backward in consequence of their shame, that say, Aha, aha.

Nek' uzmaknu u sramoti svojoj koji zlurado na me grohoću!

4 Let all those that seek thee be glad and rejoice in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, God is great.

Neka kliču i nek' se vesele u tebi svi koji tebe traže! Neka govore svagda: “Velik je Bog!” svi koji spasenje tvoje ljube!

5 But I am poor and needy, O God: come hastily unto me; my help and my deliverer art thou: O Lord, do not delay.

A bijedan sam ja i nevoljan, o Bože, u pomoć mi pohitaj! Ti si pomoć moja i spasitelj; Jahve, ne kasni!
