Psalms 68
1 “To the chief musician, by David, a Psalm or song.” Oh that God would arise, that his enemies might be scattered, and those that hate him might flee before him.
Levántese ʼElohim, sean esparcidos sus enemigos. Huyan de tu Presencia los que lo aborrecen.
2 As smoke is driven off, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
Desvanécelos como se desvanece el humo. Como se derrite la cera ante el fuego, Perezcan así los perversos en la Presencia de ʼElohim.
3 But the righteous shall rejoice; they shall exult before God: yea, they shall be exceedingly joyful.
Pero que se alegren los justos, Y sean regocijados ante ʼElohim. Que se regocijen con alegría.
4 Sing unto God, sing praises to his name; extol him who rideth upon the heavens: the Everlasting is his name, and rejoice before him.
Canten a ʼElohim. Canten salmos a su Nombre. Exalten al que cabalga sobre los cielos. YA es su Nombre. Regocíjense ante Él.
5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.
Padre de huérfanos y Juez de viudas es ʼElohim en su Santuario,
6 God places those who are solitary in the midst of their families: he bringeth out those who are bound unto happiness; but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
El ʼElohim que hace un hogar a los desamparados, Quien saca los cautivos a prosperidad. Pero los rebeldes viven en tierra seca.
7 O God, when thou didst go forth before thy people, when thou didst tread along through the wilderness—Selah—
Oh ʼElohim, cuando saliste delante de tu pueblo, Cuando anduviste por el desierto, (Selah)
8 The earth quaked, also the heavens dropped at the presence of God, yea, this Sinai, at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
La tierra tembló. Los cielos también destilaron ante ʼElohim. La misma [Montaña] Sinaí tembló ante la Presencia de ʼElohim, El ʼElohim de Israel.
9 Rain of beneficence didst thou pour down, O God, whereby thou didst truly strengthen thy heritage, when it was weary.
Una lluvia abundante derramaste, oh ʼElohim. Tú reanimaste tu heredad Cuando estaba exhausta.
10 Thy assembly dwelt therein: thou didst prepare it with thy goodness for the afflicted [people]. O God,
Tus criaturas se establecieron en ella, La que en tu bondad, oh ʼElohim, proveíste para el pobre.
11 The Lord gave [happy] tidings; they are published by the female messengers, a numerous host.
ʼAdonay da la orden, Y una gran hueste de mujeres anuncia las buenas noticias.
12 The kings of the armies flee away—flee away: yet she that tarried at home divideth the spoil.
Huyeron, huyeron los reyes de ejércitos, Y las que se quedaban en casa repartían los despojos.
13 When ye lie still between the folds [of your cattle], [ye will be like] the wings of the dove covered with sliver, and her pinions shining with flaming gold.
Aunque fueron echados entre los tiestos, Serán como alas de paloma cubiertas de plata Y sus plumas, con brillo de oro.
14 When the Almighty scattered kings in the midst of her, then even in darkness shone light [as pure] as snow.
Cuando el Omnipotente esparció allí a los reyes Fue como cuando nieva en Salmón.
15 A mountain of God is the mount of Bashan; many peaks hath the mount of Bashan.
Montaña de ʼElohim es la montaña de Basán. Una montaña alta es la de Basán.
16 Why watch ye enviously, ye many-peaked mountains, yonder mountain which God hath chosen for his residence? yea, the Lord will also dwell [there] for ever.
¿Por qué, oh montañas de picos, Miran con envidia a la Montaña que ʼElohim deseó para su morada? Ciertamente Yavé morará en ella para siempre.
17 The chariots of God are two myriads; thousands of angels [follow him]: the Lord is among them: so is Sinai holy [among mountains].
Las carrozas de ʼElohim son miríadas de miríadas, y millares de millares. Desde Sinaí, ʼAdonay avanza entre ellas al Santuario.
18 Thou didst ascend on high, lead away captives, receive gifts among men, yea, even the rebellious, to dwell among them. O Lord God.
Ascendiste a lo alto, Llevaste cautivos a [tus] cautivos. Recibiste dones entre los hombres, Aun de los rebeldes, Para que YA ʼElohim more allí.
19 Blessed be the Lord; day by day he loadeth us [with benefits]; our God is our salvation. (Selah)
Bendito sea ʼAdonay, Quien diariamente lleva nuestra carga, El ʼEL de nuestra salvación. (Selah)
20 Our God is to us the God of salvation: and by the Eternal the Lord are the escapes from death.
Nuestro ʼEL es el ʼEL de salvación. A Yavé nuestro ʼAdonay corresponde el librar de la muerte.
21 But God will crush the head of his enemies, the hairy skull of him who walketh in his guiltiness.
Ciertamente ʼElohim herirá la cabeza de sus enemigos, La coronilla cabelluda del que anda en sus transgresiones.
22 The Lord hath said, From Bashan will I bring back, I will bring back from the depths of the sea:
ʼAdonay dijo: De Basán los devolveré. Los devolveré de las profundidades del mar,
23 In order that thou mayest wade with thy feet in blood, feeding the tongue of thy dogs from the enemies' blood.
Para que tu pie los aplaste en sangre, Y la lengua de tus perros tenga su porción de tus enemigos.
24 Men see thy goings forth, O God! the goings forth of my God, my King, into the sanctuary.
Vieron tu cortejo, oh ʼElohim, El cortejo de mi ʼEL, mi Rey en el Santuario.
25 First come singers, then follow players on instruments, in the midst of maidens playing on timbrels.
Los cantores van adelante, Los músicos detrás. Entre unos y otros van las doncellas que tocan panderetas.
26 In assemblies bless ye God, [praise] the Lord, ye sprung from Israel's fountain.
Bendigan a ʼElohim en las congregaciones, Al ʼAdonay de la fuente de Israel.
27 There Benjamin the youngest leadeth them on, the princes of Judah in purple robes, the princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali.
Allí está Benjamín, el menor, quien los dirige, Los jefes de Judá con su multitud, Los jefes de Zabulón, Los jefes de Neftalí.
28 Thy God hath ordained the rule to thee: strengthen, O God, what thou hast wrought for us.
Tu ʼElohim comandó tu fuerza. Oh ʼElohim, Tú actuaste por nosotros. Muéstrate fuerte.
29 Because of thy temple over Jerusalem shall kings bring presents unto thee.
Por causa de tu Templo en Jerusalén los reyes te traerán regalos.
30 Rebuke the wild beasts hiding among the reeds, the troops of steers among the calves of nations, that hasten along with presents of silver. He scattereth nations that are eager for the fight.
Reprende las bestias salvajes que están entre los juncos, La manada de toros con los becerros de los pueblos, Que pisotean las piezas de plata. Esparce a los pueblos que se complacen en la guerra.
31 Nobles will come out of Egypt: Ethiopia will stretch forth eagerly her hands unto God.
Embajadores vendrán de Egipto. Etiopía extenderá sus manos a ʼElohim.
32 Kingdoms of the earth, sing unto God; sing praises unto the Lord: (Selah)
Oh reinos de la tierra, canten a ʼElohim. Canten salmos a ʼAdonay. (Selah)
33 To him who rideth over the highest heavens, of ancient days: hear! he sendeth forth his voice, the voice of might.
Al que cabalga sobre el cielo de los cielos, Que son desde la antigüedad, Ciertamente emite su voz, su poderosa voz.
34 Ascribe ye strength unto God: his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the skies.
Atribuyan fortaleza a ʼElohim. Su magnificencia es sobre Israel Y su poder está en las nubes.
35 Thou art tremendous, O God, from thy holy residences: O God of Israel, [thou art] he that givest strength and power unto [thy] people. Blessed be God.
¡Oh ʼElohim, Tú eres asombroso desde tu Santuario! El mismo ʼEL de Israel da vigor y poder al pueblo. ¡Bendito sea ʼElohim!
