< Psalms 62 >
1 “To the chief musician, upon Jeduthun, a psalm of David.” Only in God my soul trusted in silence: from him cometh my salvation.
Thaburi ya Daudi Ngoro yakwa yetagĩrĩra Ngai o we wiki; ũhonokio wakwa uumaga harĩ we.
2 Only he is my rock and my salvation; [he is] my defense: I shall not be greatly moved.
O we wiki nĩwe rwaro rwakwa rwa ihiga na ũhonokio wakwa; nĩwe kĩirigo gĩakwa kĩa hinya, ndirĩ hĩndĩ ngenyenyeka.
3 How long will ye devise mischief against a man? will ye all assault him murderously, as though he were a falling wall, a tottering fence?
Nĩ nginya rĩ mũgũtũũra mũtharĩkagĩra mũndũ? Mwamũũraga inyuothe, taarĩ rũthingo rũinamu kana rũirigo rũrenda kũgũa?
4 Yea, from his height do they take counsel to cast [him] down; they delight in lies: with their mouth do they bless, but inwardly do they curse. (Selah)
Nĩmatuĩte itua mamweherie ũnene-inĩ wake; makenagio nĩ maheeni. Marathimanaga na tũnua twao, no ngoro-inĩ ciao makarumana.
5 Yea, in God hope in silence, my soul; for from him is my expectation.
Wee ngoro yakwa, etha ũhurũko harĩ Ngai o we wiki, kĩĩrĩgĩrĩro gĩakwa kĩrĩ harĩ we.
6 Only he is my rock and my salvation; [he is] my defence: I shall not be moved.
O we wiki nĩwe rwaro rwakwa rwa ihiga na ũhonokio wakwa; nĩwe kĩirigo gĩakwa kĩa hinya ndirĩ hĩndĩ ngenyenyeka.
7 With God are my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength [and] my protection are in God.
Ũhonokio wakwa na gĩtĩĩo gĩakwa ciumaga kũrĩ Ngai; nĩwe rwaro rwakwa rwa ihiga rũrĩ hinya, na rĩũrĩro rĩakwa.
8 Trust in him at all times, O ye people; pour out before him your heart: God is a protection for us. (Selah)
Inyuĩ andũ aya, mwĩhokagei o we hĩndĩ ciothe; itũrũragai ngoro cianyu harĩ we, nĩgũkorwo Ngai nĩwe rĩũrĩro riitũ.
9 Verily nought are the sons of common men, a lie the sons of the great; they must rise in the balance; they are altogether [lighter] than nought.
Andũ arĩa matarĩ igweta no mĩhũmũ tu, na arĩa marĩ igweta no maheeni tu; mangĩthimwo na ratiri-rĩ, o no kĩndũ gĩa tũhũ; othe marĩ hamwe no mĩhũmũ mĩtheri.
10 Do not put your trust in defrauding, and be not rendered vain through robbery: if riches flourish, set not your heart [upon them].
Mũtikehoke ũtunyani kana mwĩtĩĩe na indo cia kũiya; o na ũtonga wanyu ũngĩingĩha-rĩ, mũtikawĩhoke.
11 Once hath God spoken; [yea, ] twice [what] I have heard: that strength belongeth unto God.
Harĩ ũndũ ũmwe Ngai oigĩte, o na nĩ maũndũ meerĩ njiguĩte: atĩ Wee Ngai, nĩ ũrĩ hinya,
12 And unto thee, O Lord, belongeth kindness; for thou wilt recompense every man according to his works.
na atĩ Wee Mwathani, ũrĩ mwendani. Ti-itherũ nĩũkarĩha o mũndũ kũringana na wĩra wake.
