Psalms 6

1 “To the chief musician on Neginoth upon Sheminith, a psalm of David.” O Lord, correct me not in thy anger, and chastise me not in thy wrath.

Przewodnikowi chóru, na Neginot i Seminit. Psalm Dawida. PANIE, nie karć mnie w swoim gniewie i nie karz mnie w swojej zapalczywości.

2 Be gracious unto me, O Lord; for I am withering away; heal me, O Lord; for my bones are terrified.

Zmiłuj się nade mną, PANIE, bo jestem słaby; uzdrów mnie, PANIE, bo moje kości drżą;

3 And my soul is greatly terrified; but thou, O Lord, how long yet—?

I moja dusza bardzo się zatrwożyła; lecz ty, PANIE, jak długo jeszcze?

4 Return, O Lord, deliver my soul: help me for the sake of thy kindness.

Zawróć, PANIE, ocal moją duszę; wybaw mnie ze względu na twe miłosierdzie.

5 For in death men do not remember thee: in the nether world, who shall give thee thanks? (Sheol h7585)

W śmierci bowiem nie ma pamięci o tobie, a w grobie któż cię będzie wysławiać? (Sheol h7585)

6 I am weary with my sighing; I flood every night my bed; With my tears I moisten my couch.

Zmęczyłem się moim wzdychaniem, co noc zalewam [łzami] moje posłanie, moje łoże jest mokre od płaczu.

7 My eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all my assailants.

Moje oko zaćmiło się od smutku, zestarzało się z powodu wszystkich moich wrogów.

8 Depart from me, all ye workers of wickedness; for the Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping.

Odstąpcie ode mnie, wszyscy czyniący nieprawość, bo PAN usłyszał głos mego płaczu.

9 The Lord hath heard my supplication; the Lord will accept my prayer.

Usłyszał PAN moją prośbę, PAN przyjął moją modlitwę.

10 Ashamed and greatly terrified shall become all my enemies; they will turn round, and be made ashamed in a moment.

Niech się zawstydzą i bardzo zatrwożą wszyscy moi wrogowie, niech uciekną i będą pohańbieni w jednej chwili.
