< Psalms 6 >
1 “To the chief musician on Neginoth upon Sheminith, a psalm of David.” O Lord, correct me not in thy anger, and chastise me not in thy wrath.
David ƒe ha na hɛnɔ la. Woadzii ɖe kasaŋku kple seminit ŋu. O! Yehowa, mègaka mo nam le wò dziku me alo ahe to nam le wò dɔmedzoe helĩhelĩ me o.
2 Be gracious unto me, O Lord; for I am withering away; heal me, O Lord; for my bones are terrified.
Yehowa, kpɔ nublanui nam, elabena nu te ŋunye. O! Yehowa, yɔ dɔm, elabena nye ƒuwo le veve sem.
3 And my soul is greatly terrified; but thou, O Lord, how long yet—?
Nye luʋɔ le nuxaxa me. Va se ɖe ɣe ka ɣi, O! Yehowa, va se ɖe ɣe ka ɣi?
4 Return, O Lord, deliver my soul: help me for the sake of thy kindness.
O! Yehowa, trɔ ɖe ŋunye, eye nàɖem; ɖem, le wò lɔlɔ̃ si meʋãna o la ta.
5 For in death men do not remember thee: in the nether world, who shall give thee thanks? (Sheol )
Ame aɖeke meɖoa ŋku dziwò ne eku o. Ame kae kafua wò tso eƒe yɔdo me? (Sheol )
6 I am weary with my sighing; I flood every night my bed; With my tears I moisten my couch.
Mevɔ le eme keŋkeŋ le ŋeŋe ta; metsɔ aɖatsi ƒo nye aba, elabena mefa avi zã blibo la, eye nye aɖatsi wɔe be nye dɔƒe ƒo tsi belebele.
7 My eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all my assailants.
Nuxaxa na ɖeɖi te nye ŋkuwo ŋu; womegale nu kpɔm tututu o, le nye futɔwo ta.
8 Depart from me, all ye workers of wickedness; for the Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping.
Mite ɖa le gbɔnye, mi nu vlo wɔlawo, elabena Yehowa se nye avifafa.
9 The Lord hath heard my supplication; the Lord will accept my prayer.
Yehowa se ɣli si medo be wòakpɔ nye nublanui; Yehowa xɔ nye gbedodoɖa alɔ eve.
10 Ashamed and greatly terrified shall become all my enemies; they will turn round, and be made ashamed in a moment.
Nye futɔwo katã ŋu akpe mi, eye miaƒe mo atsi dãa; woagbugbɔ ɖe megbe enumake kple ŋukpe.
