< Psalms 57 >
1 “To the chief musician, Al-tashcheth, by David, a Michtham, when he fled from Saul, in the cave.” Be gracious unto me, O God, be gracious unto me; for in thee my soul seeketh protection, and under the shadow of thy wings will I seek protection, until the mischief be passed away.

2 I will call unto God, the Most High; unto God that accomplisheth [his kindness] on me.
Lathueng Poung Cathut, bangpuengpa na kasakpouhkung, ka Cathut teh na kaw han.
3 He will send from heaven, and save me, though he that longeth to swallow me up utter reproach. (Selah) God will send forth his kindness and his truth.
Kalvan hoi a patoun vaiteh, na rungngang han, payawp hanlah kakâcainaw hah a yue han. (Selah)
4 My soul is in the midst of lions; I lie down [in the midst of] those that send out flames, [those] sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and whose tongue is a sharpened sword.
Cathut ni lungmanae hoi lawkkatang hah a patoun han. Ka hringnae heh sendek um doeh ao. Lungkhueknae hmai ka kang lahun e taminaw um vah ka i. Ahnimae hânaw teh tahroe hoi palanaw patetlah ao awh. Ahnimae lai hai kahran e tahloinaw patetlah ao awh.
5 Be thou exalted above the heavens, O God: above all the earth let thy glory be.
Oe Cathut, kalvannaw lathueng vah, pholen lah awm haw. Na bawilennae teh talai van pueng awm lawiseh.
6 A net have they prepared for my steps; my soul hath been bent down; they have dug before me a pit; they are fallen into the midst thereof. (Selah)
Ka khok hanlah, tamlawk a yangda awh teh, ka hringnae teh a tabut. Ka hmalah tangkom a tai awh. Hatei, a lungui vah amamouh letlang a bo awh. (Selah)
7 Firm is my heart, O God, firm is my heart: I will sing and play.
Ka lungthin teh a cak doeh, Oe Cathut, ka lungthin teh a cak doeh, pholennae hoi la ka sak han.
8 Awake, my spirit; awake, psaltery and harp: I will wake up the morning-dawn.
Ka bawilennae kâhlaw haw, ratoung hoi tamawinaw kâhlaw awh haw. Kai ni teh kho ka dai khai han.
9 I will thank thee among the people, O Lord: I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.
Oe BAWIPA, tamimaya koe na pholen han. Miphun pueng koe nang pholen hoi la ka sak han.
10 For great, even unto the heavens, is thy kindness, and even unto the skies [extendeth] thy truth.
Bangkongtetpawiteh, na lungmanae ni kalvan a pha teh, na lawkkatang ni tâmai a pha.
11 Be thou exalted above the heavens, O God: above all the earth let thy glory be.
Oe Cathut, kalvan vah pholen lah awm naseh, na bawilennae teh talai van pueng awm lawiseh.
