Psalms 55
1 “To the chief musician on Neginoth, a Maskil of David.” Give ear, O God, to my prayer, and hide not thyself from my supplication.
௧தாவீது அளித்த பாடல்களில் ஒன்று. தேவனே, என்னுடைய ஜெபத்தைக் கேட்டருளும்; என்னுடைய விண்ணப்பத்திற்கு மறைந்துகொள்ளாதிரும்.
2 Listen unto me, and answer me: I mourn in my grief, and moan;
௨எனக்குச் செவிகொடுத்து, பதில் அருளிச்செய்யும்; எதிரியினுடைய கூக்குரலினிமித்தமும், துன்மார்க்கர்கள் செய்யும் பிரச்சனைகளினிமித்தமும் என்னுடைய தியானத்தில் முறையிடுகிறேன்.
3 Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked; for they cast wrong upon me, and in wrath they attack me.
௩அவர்கள் என்மேல் பழிசுமத்தி, கோபங்கொண்டு, என்னைப் பகைக்கிறார்கள்.
4 My heart is sorely pained within me, and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.
௪என்னுடைய இருதயம் எனக்குள் வேதனைப்படுகிறது; மரணபயம் என்மேல் விழுந்தது.
5 Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and shuddering hath covered me.
௫பயமும் நடுக்கமும் என்னைப் பிடித்தது; திகில் என்னை மூடியது.
6 And I said, Oh that some one would give me wings like a dove! I would fly away and dwell [quietly].
௬அப்பொழுது நான்: ஆ, எனக்குப் புறாவைப்போல் இறக்கைகள் இருந்தால், நான் பறந்துபோய் இளைப்பாறுவேன்.
7 Lo, I would flee far away, I would spend my night in the wilderness. (Selah)
௭நான் தூரத்தில் அலைந்து திரிந்து வனாந்திரத்தில் தங்கியிருப்பேன். (சேலா)
8 I would prepare hastily a refuge for me from the sweeping wind [and] from storm.
௮பெருங்காற்றுக்கும் புயலுக்கும் தப்ப விரைந்து செல்வேன் என்றேன்.
9 Destroy, O Lord, divide their tongue; for I have seen violence and strife in the city;
௯ஆண்டவரே, அவர்களை அழித்து, அவர்கள் மொழியை பிரிந்துபோகச்செய்யும்; கொடுமையையும் சண்டையையும் நகரத்திலே கண்டேன்;
10 Day and night do these encompass it upon her walls: and wrong and trouble are in her midst.
௧0அவைகள் இரவும்பகலும் அதின் மதில்கள்மேல் சுற்றித்திரிகிறது; அக்கிரமமும் வாதையும் அதின் நடுவில் இருக்கிறது;
11 Mischief is in her midst: guile and deceit depart not from her streets.
௧௧கேடுபாடுகள் அதின் நடுவில் இருக்கிறது; கொடுமையும் கபடும் அதின் வீதியைவிட்டு விலகிப்போகிறதில்லை.
12 For it is not an enemy that reproached me; then I could bear it: not he that hateth me hath magnified himself against me; then I would have hidden myself from him;
௧௨என்னைக் கடிந்துகொண்டவன் எதிரி அல்ல, அப்படியிருந்தால் சகிப்பேன்; எனக்கு விரோதமாகப் பெருமை பாராட்டினவன் என்னுடைய பகைஞன் அல்ல, அப்படியிருந்தால் அவனுக்கு மறைந்திருப்பேன்.
13 But it is thou, a man my equal, my guide, and my acquaintance;
௧௩எனக்குச் சமமான மனிதனும், என்னுடைய வழிகாட்டியும், என்னுடைய தோழனுமாகிய நீயே அவன்.
14 So that we took sweet secret counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in tumultuous company.
௧௪நாம் ஒன்றாக, இன்பமான ஆலோசனைசெய்து, கூட்டத்தோடு தேவாலயத்திற்குப் போனோம்.
15 Let him dispense death over them; let them go down alive into the nether world; for evil is in their dwelling, in the midst of them. (Sheol h7585)
௧௫மரணம் அவர்களைத் தொடர்ந்து பிடிப்பதாக; அவர்கள் உயிரோடு பாதாளத்தில் இறங்குவார்களாக; அவர்கள் தங்குமிடங்களிலும் அவர்கள் உள்ளத்திலும் தீங்கு இருக்கிறது. (Sheol h7585)
16 I, however, will call on God: and the Lord will save me.
௧௬நானோ தேவனை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுவேன்; யெகோவா என்னை காப்பாற்றுவார்.
17 At evening and morning and noon will I make my complaint and moan: and he heareth my voice.—
௧௭காலை மாலை மத்தியான வேளைகளிலும் நான் தியானம்செய்து முறையிடுவேன்; அவர் என்னுடைய சத்தத்தைக் கேட்பார்.
18 He delivereth my soul in peace from the battle against me; for in multitudes are they [contending] with me.
௧௮திரள் கூட்டமாகக் கூடி என்னோடு எதிர்த்தார்கள்; அவரோ எனக்கு ஏற்பட்ட போரை நீக்கி, என்னுடைய ஆத்துமாவைச் சமாதானத்துடன் மீட்டுவிட்டார்.
19 God will hear, and humble them—yea, he that sitteth enthroned from the oldest time Selah—those who dread no changes, and fear not God.
௧௯ஆரம்பம்முதலாக இருக்கிற தேவன் கேட்டு, அவர்களுக்குப் பதிலளிப்பார்; அவர்களுக்கு மாறுதல்கள் ஏற்படாததினால், அவர்கள் தேவனுக்குப் பயப்படாமற்போகிறார்கள். (சேலா)
20 He stretcheth out his hands against those at peace with him: he violateth his covenant.
௨0அவன் தன்னோடு சமாதானமாக இருந்தவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாகத் தன்னுடைய கையை நீட்டி தன்னுடைய உடன்படிக்கையை மீறி நடந்தான்.
21 The creamy words of his mouth are smooth, yet there is war [in] his heart; his words are softer than oil, yet are they drawn swords.
௨௧அவன் வாயின் சொற்கள் வெண்ணெயைப்போல மெதுவானவைகள், அவனுடைய இருதயமோ யுத்தம்; அவனுடைய வார்த்தைகள் எண்ணெயிலும் மிருதுவானவைகள். ஆனாலும் அவைகள் உருவின பட்டயங்கள்.
22 Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he will sustain thee: he will never suffer the righteous to be moved.
௨௨யெகோவாமேல் உன் பாரத்தை வைத்துவிடு, அவர் உன்னை ஆதரிப்பார்; நீதிமானை ஒருபோதும் தள்ளாடவிடமாட்டார்.
23 But thou, O God, thou wilt bring them down into the pit of destruction: let not the men of blood and deceit live out half their days; but I will indeed trust in thee.
௨௩தேவனே, நீர் அவர்களை அழிவின் குழியில் இறங்கச்செய்வீர்; இரத்தப்பிரியர்களும் சூதுள்ள மனிதர்களும் தங்களுடைய ஆயுளின் நாட்களில் பாதிவரைகூட பிழைத்திருக்கமாட்டார்கள்; நானோ உம்மை நம்பியிருக்கிறேன்.
