< Psalms 55 >

1 “To the chief musician on Neginoth, a Maskil of David.” Give ear, O God, to my prayer, and hide not thyself from my supplication.
Vo Pathen ka taona neingaipeh in, panpi ngehna ka taona neigelkhoh peh’in!
2 Listen unto me, and answer me: I mourn in my grief, and moan;
Lungset tah in ka taona neingaipeh in lang neihin donbut teijin, ajeh chu kagimnan eihin lonvuh tan ahi.
3 Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked; for they cast wrong upon me, and in wrath they attack me.
Ka galmite’n eisamseu vin, eigihna’u hi akithong le’u jeng’in ahi. Aman boi na eilhunkhum sah un lunghang tah’in eihin delkhum taove.
4 My heart is sorely pained within me, and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.
Ka lung aphul lap lap jeng’in thina gimneitah hin eihin nokhum tan ahi.
5 Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and shuddering hath covered me.
Tijatna le lunggimna’n eilonvuh tan kithing louvin ka umthei poi.
6 And I said, Oh that some one would give me wings like a dove! I would fly away and dwell [quietly].
Oh, vakhu bang’a lhaving nei hitave leng o keima lengdoh ingting ga kicholdo tang’e!
7 Lo, I would flee far away, I would spend my night in the wilderness. (Selah)
Keima gamlatah in lengdoh ingting gamthipnoi olnamun gabel tang’e.
8 I would prepare hastily a refuge for me from the sweeping wind [and] from storm.
Hitobang kivetdatona huipi kinunglah a konhin gangtah in gamlatah a jammang tang’e.
9 Destroy, O Lord, divide their tongue; for I have seen violence and strife in the city;
Pakai amaho hi kisuhmosah in lang athilse gon’u jong hi suhmopeh jeng tan, ajeh chu athilgon’u hin khopi sung’a thilse tamtah asodoh sah ding ahi.
10 Day and night do these encompass it upon her walls: and wrong and trouble are in her midst.
Akulpi bang’u jong galmi’a kon’a hoidohna ding’a asun ajan a anga’u ahi, ahinla akhohpentah chu khopi sung’a chonsetna ho hi ahi.
11 Mischief is in her midst: guile and deceit depart not from her streets.
Thil jouse hi asegam’a ahitai, kailhang jeng’a jong kigihna le kijoubolna adimlha tan ahi.
12 For it is not an enemy that reproached me; then I could bear it: not he that hateth me hath magnified himself against me; then I would have hidden myself from him;
Ka dougal’in eitaitomna jong ahipoi hichu ka doujou thouve, kiletsah tah’a eijumso jing’a ka kidoupipa jong ahipoi, amaho a kon chunk a ki seldoh theinan ahi.
13 But it is thou, a man my equal, my guide, and my acquaintance;
Amavang hiche ho chu hilouvin, ka kibahpi, ka kivoppi, ka golngai nangma chu na hi.
14 So that we took sweet secret counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in tumultuous company.
Phat khatna chu ichan geija ina kingailut hitam Pathen houin jeng’a jong ina kijotlutji ahime.
15 Let him dispense death over them; let them go down alive into the nether world; for evil is in their dwelling, in the midst of them. (Sheol h7585)
Ka dougalte hi thina’n lhunkhum hen lhunkhum hen ahing’in vallhum jeng’u henajeh chu setna’n alungsung’u chennan aneitan ahi. (Sheol h7585)
16 I, however, will call on God: and the Lord will save me.
Ahinlah keiman ka Pathen ka kou ding chuleh ka Pakai in eihuhdoh ding ahi.
17 At evening and morning and noon will I make my complaint and moan: and he heareth my voice.—
Jingkah sun nilhah in ka lung hesoh jeh’in ka kap’in ahileh Pakaiyin ka-o eijahpeh tai.
18 He delivereth my soul in peace from the battle against me; for in multitudes are they [contending] with me.
Mi tamtah'in eidou jing hen lang, kei douna’n gal kisat chohjeju jeng jongleh Pakai in eilhatdoh’in ol-heuvin eiumsah tai.
19 God will hear, and humble them—yea, he that sitteth enthroned from the oldest time Selah—those who dread no changes, and fear not God.
Tonsot'a vaihom jing Pathen chun ka taona sang intin ka dougalte asuhnem ding ahi. Ajeh chu amahon achondan’u akhelnom pouvin Pathen jong aging pouvin; Pathen jong aging pouve.
20 He stretcheth out his hands against those at peace with him: he violateth his covenant.
Keima kiloipipan vang aloihi alhem lhan akitepna asukeh’in ahi.
21 The creamy words of his mouth are smooth, yet there is war [in] his heart; his words are softer than oil, yet are they drawn swords.
Athu cheng chu thaotwi bang’in analjet in hinlah asung uvin gal lungthim apu’uve. Athu cheng’u thaotwi nang abang’in hinlah asunglang uvah chemjam ngen aum’e.
22 Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he will sustain thee: he will never suffer the righteous to be moved.
Na pohgih chu Pakai chung’a seplha tan Aman na ngai jangpeh nante. Aman mi chonpha ho chu akipalsah lou ding lhuh jong alhuhsah lou ding ahi.
23 But thou, O God, thou wilt bring them down into the pit of destruction: let not the men of blood and deceit live out half their days; but I will indeed trust in thee.
Nangvang O Pathen mi ho chu a gilou ho chu lhuh na kokhuh a nasotlhah ding ahi. tolthat ho le jonpan ho jong khangdong cha na thisah ding ahi, hinla keimanvang eihuhing din nang jeng katahsan e.
