< Psalms 54 >
1 “To the chief musician on Neginoth, a Maskil of David, When the Ziphim came and said to Saul, Behold, David is hiding himself with us.” O God, by thy name save me, and by thy strength grant me justice.
David ƒe ha na hɛnɔ la. Woadzii ɖe kasaŋku ŋu. David kpa ha sia esi Zifitɔwo yi Saul gbɔ gblɔ nɛ be, “Ɖe David meva ɣla ɖe mía dome oa?” Ɖem, O! Mawu, ɖem kple wò ŋkɔ, tsɔ wò ŋusẽ tso afia nam.
2 O God, hear my prayer; give ear to the words of my mouth.
O! Mawu, se nye gbedodoɖa, eye nàƒu to anyi ɖe nye numenyawo ŋu.
3 For strangers [to goodness] are risen up against me, and powerful oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. (Selah)
Amedzrowo tso ɖe ŋunye, ŋutasẽlawo ti nye agbe yome, ame siwo mebua Mawu ɖe naneke me o. (Sela)
4 Behold, God is a helper unto me: the Lord is among those that uphold my soul.
Mawu nye nye xɔnametɔ vavã, Aƒetɔ lae nye ame si lém ɖe asi.
5 He will cause the evil to return upon those that regard me with envy: in thy truth cut them off.
Vɔ̃ negbugbɔ va ame siwo le ŋunye gblẽm la dzi, tsrɔ̃ wo le wò nuteƒewɔwɔ ta.
6 I will liberally sacrifice unto thee: I will give thanks unto thy name, O Lord; for it is good.
Masa lɔlɔ̃nuvɔsa na wò, O! Yehowa, makafu wò ŋkɔ, elabena enyo.
7 For out of all distress hath he delivered me: and my eye hath seen [its desire] on my enemies.
Eɖem tso nye xaxawo katã me, eye nye ŋkuwo kpɔ ale si woɖu nye futɔwo dzii.
