Psalms 52

1 “To the chief musician, a Maskil of David, When Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said unto him, David is come to the house of Achimelech.” What vauntest thou thyself of wickedness, O mighty man? the kindness of God endureth all the time.

¿Por qué te enorgulleces de hacer el mal, oh poderoso? La misericordia de Dios es constante.

2 Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs, like a sharpened razor, thou worker of deceit.

Maquinando maldad, usando el engaño; tu lengua es como una cuchilla afilada.

3 Thou lovest evil more than good; falsehood more than speaking righteousness. (Selah)

Tienes más amor por el mal que por el bien, por el engaño que por la verdad. (Selah)

4 Thou lovest all words of destruction, the tongue of deceit.

La destrucción está en todas tus palabras, oh lengua falsa.

5 [Therefore] God will also destroy thee for ever: he will take thee away, and pluck thee out of his tent, and root thee out of the land of life. (Selah)

Pero Dios te pondrá fin para siempre; expulsándote de su morada. arrancándote de la tierra de los vivos. (Selah)

6 And the righteous shall see it, and they will be afraid, and laugh concerning him:

El recto lo verá. y temerá. y dirá, riéndose de ti:

7 “Lo, this is the man that made not God his fortress; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, relied proudly on his mischievous wickedness.”

Mira, este es el hombre que no hizo de Dios su fortaleza, sino que tuvo fe en sus bienes y en su propiedad, y se hizo fuerte en su riqueza y persiste en su maldad.

8 But I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God: I trust in the kindness of God for ever and ever.

Pero yo soy como un olivo ramificado en la casa de Dios; He puesto mi fe en su misericordia por los siglos de los siglos.

9 I will thank thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name, for [it is] good, before thy pious ones.

Te alabaré sin fin por lo que has hecho; Daré honor a tu nombre, porque es bueno, delante de tus santos.
