Psalms 52

1 “To the chief musician, a Maskil of David, When Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said unto him, David is come to the house of Achimelech.” What vauntest thou thyself of wickedness, O mighty man? the kindness of God endureth all the time.

Начальнику хора. Учение Давида, после того, как приходил Доик Идумеянин и донес Саулу и сказал ему, что Давид пришел в дом Ахимелеха. Что хвалишься злодейством, сильный? милость Божия всегда со мною;

2 Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs, like a sharpened razor, thou worker of deceit.

гибель вымышляет язык твой; как изощренная бритва, он у тебя, коварный!

3 Thou lovest evil more than good; falsehood more than speaking righteousness. (Selah)

ты любишь больше зло, нежели добро, больше ложь, нежели говорить правду;

4 Thou lovest all words of destruction, the tongue of deceit.

ты любишь всякие гибельные речи, язык коварный:

5 [Therefore] God will also destroy thee for ever: he will take thee away, and pluck thee out of his tent, and root thee out of the land of life. (Selah)

за то Бог сокрушит тебя вконец, изринет тебя и исторгнет тебя из жилища твоего и корень твой из земли живых.

6 And the righteous shall see it, and they will be afraid, and laugh concerning him:

Увидят праведники и убоятся, посмеются над ним и скажут:

7 “Lo, this is the man that made not God his fortress; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, relied proudly on his mischievous wickedness.”

“вот человек, который не в Боге полагал крепость свою, а надеялся на множество богатства своего, укреплялся в злодействе своем”.

8 But I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God: I trust in the kindness of God for ever and ever.

А я, как зеленеющая маслина, в доме Божием, и уповаю на милость Божию во веки веков,

9 I will thank thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name, for [it is] good, before thy pious ones.

вечно буду славить Тебя за то, что Ты соделал, и уповать на имя Твое, ибо оно благо пред святыми Твоими.
