Psalms 50
1 “A psalm of Assaph.” The God of gods, the Lord, speaketh, and calleth the earth, from the rising of the sun unto his setting.
Un psalm al lui Asaf. Dumnezeul cel puternic, DOMNUL, a vorbit și a chemat pământul de la răsăritul soarelui până la apusul lui.
2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shineth forth.
Dumnezeu a strălucit din Sion, desăvârșirea frumuseții.
3 Our God is coming, and will not keep silence: a fire devoureth before him, and round him there rageth a mighty storm.
Dumnezeul nostru va veni și nu va tăcea, un foc va mistui înaintea lui și va fi o mare furtună împrejurul lui.
4 He will call to the heavens above, and to the earth, to judge his people.
De sus va striga către ceruri și către pământ, ca să judece pe poporul său.
5 “Gather together unto me my pious servants, who make a covenant with me by sacrifice.”
Strângeți pe sfinții mei la mine; cei ce au făcut un legământ cu mine prin sacrificiu.
6 And the heavens tell of his righteousness; for God is judge himself. (Selah)
Și cerurile vor vesti dreptatea lui, căci Dumnezeu însuși este judecător. (Selah)
7 “Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: God, thy God, am I.
Ascultă poporul meu și voi vorbi; ascultă Israel și voi aduce mărturie împotriva ta: Eu sunt Dumnezeu, chiar Dumnezeul tău.
8 Not because of thy sacrifices will I reprove thee; and thy burnt-offerings are continually before me.
Nu te voi mustra pentru sacrificiile tale, sau pentru ofrandele tale arse, ce au fost continuu înaintea mea.
9 I will not take a bullock out of thy house, nor he-goats out of thy folds.
Nu voi lua niciun taur din casa ta, nici țapi din staulele tale.
10 For mine are all the beasts of the forest, the cattle upon a thousand mountains.
Căci fiecare animal al pădurii este al meu și vitele de pe o mie de dealuri.
11 I know all the fowls of the mountains: whatever moveth on the fields is with me.
Cunosc toate păsările munților; și fiarele sălbatice ale câmpului sunt ale mele.
12 If I were hungry, I would not say it to thee; for mine is the world, and what filleth it.
Dacă aș fi flămând, nu ți-aș spune ție: fiindcă lumea și plinătatea ei este a mea.
13 Do I eat the flesh of fatted bulls, or drink the blood of he-goats?
Voi mânca eu carnea taurilor, sau voi bea sângele țapilor?
14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay unto the Most High thy vows;
Oferă mulțumiri lui Dumnezeu; și împlinește-ți promisiunile față de Cel Preaînalt,
15 And call on me on the day of distress: I will deliver thee, — and so wilt thou glorify me.”
Și cheamă-mă în ziua tulburării, eu te voi elibera și tu mă vei glorifica.
16 But unto the wicked God saith, “What hast thou to do to relate my statutes, and why bearest thou my covenant upon thy mouth?
Dar celui stricat, Dumnezeu îi spune: Ce ai tu ca să faci cunoscute statutele mele, sau să iei legământul meu în gura ta?
17 And yet thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.
Văzând că urăști instruirea și arunci cuvintele mele înapoia ta.
18 When thou seest a thief, then art thou pleased with him, and with adulterers hast thou thy portion.
Când ai văzut un hoț, te-ai învoit cu el și ai fost părtaș cu adulterii.
19 Thou lettest loose thy mouth with evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.
Îți dai gura la rău și limba ta urzește înșelătorie.
20 Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; against thy own mother's son thou utterest slander.
Șezi și vorbești împotriva fratelui tău; defăimezi pe fiul mamei tale.
21 These things hast thou done, and I kept silence: thou didst ween that I am like thyself; [but] I will reprove thee, and set it in order before thy eyes.”
Ai făcut acestea iar eu am tăcut; te-ai gândit că am fost întru totul ca tine, dar te voi mustra și voi pune lucrurile în ordine înaintea ochilor tăi.
22 Do but reflect on this, ye that forget God, lest I tear [you] in pieces, with none to deliver.
Acum luați aminte la aceasta, voi, care uitați pe Dumnezeu, ca să nu vă sfâșii și să nu fie nimeni să vă elibereze.
23 Whoso offereth thanksgiving glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his course aright, will I show the salvation of God.
Oricine oferă laudă mă glorifică; și celui ce își rânduiește purtarea îi voi arăta salvarea lui Dumnezeu.
