Psalms 50
1 “A psalm of Assaph.” The God of gods, the Lord, speaketh, and calleth the earth, from the rising of the sun unto his setting.
Ein Psalm Asaphs: Der HERR, der starke Gott, hat geredet und ruft der Welt zu vom Aufgang der Sonne bis zu ihrem Niedergang.
2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shineth forth.
Aus Zion, der Schönheit Vollendung, bricht Gottes Glanz hervor.
3 Our God is coming, and will not keep silence: a fire devoureth before him, and round him there rageth a mighty storm.
Unser Gott kommt und schweigt nicht; verzehrendes Feuer ist vor ihm, und es stürmt gewaltig um ihn her.
4 He will call to the heavens above, and to the earth, to judge his people.
Er ruft den Himmel droben und die Erde zum Gericht seines Volkes herbei.
5 “Gather together unto me my pious servants, who make a covenant with me by sacrifice.”
Versammelt mir meine Frommen, die einen Bund mit mir gemacht haben über dem Opfer.
6 And the heavens tell of his righteousness; for God is judge himself. (Selah)
Da verkündigten die Himmel seine Gerechtigkeit, daß Gott selbst Richter ist. (Pause)
7 “Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: God, thy God, am I.
Höre, mein Volk, so will ich reden; Israel, ich lege gegen dich Zeugnis ab: Ich, Gott, bin dein Gott.
8 Not because of thy sacrifices will I reprove thee; and thy burnt-offerings are continually before me.
Deiner Opfer halben will ich dich nicht strafen, sind doch deine Brandopfer stets vor mir.
9 I will not take a bullock out of thy house, nor he-goats out of thy folds.
Ich will keinen Farren aus deinem Hause nehmen, noch Böcke aus deinen Ställen!
10 For mine are all the beasts of the forest, the cattle upon a thousand mountains.
Denn mein sind alle Tiere des Waldes, das Vieh auf den Bergen zu Tausenden.
11 I know all the fowls of the mountains: whatever moveth on the fields is with me.
Ich kenne alle Vögel auf den Bergen, und was sich auf dem Felde regt, ist mir bekannt.
12 If I were hungry, I would not say it to thee; for mine is the world, and what filleth it.
Wenn mich hungerte, so würde ich es dir nicht sagen; denn mein ist der Erdkreis und was ihn erfüllt.
13 Do I eat the flesh of fatted bulls, or drink the blood of he-goats?
Soll ich Ochsenfleisch essen oder Bocksblut trinken?
14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay unto the Most High thy vows;
Opfere Gott Dank und bezahle dem Höchsten deine Gelübde;
15 And call on me on the day of distress: I will deliver thee, — and so wilt thou glorify me.”
und rufe mich an am Tage der Not, so will ich dich erretten, und du sollst mich ehren!
16 But unto the wicked God saith, “What hast thou to do to relate my statutes, and why bearest thou my covenant upon thy mouth?
Aber zum Gottlosen spricht Gott: Was zählst du meine Satzungen her und nimmst meinen Bund in deinen Mund,
17 And yet thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.
so du doch Zucht hassest und wirfst meine Worte hinter dich?
18 When thou seest a thief, then art thou pleased with him, and with adulterers hast thou thy portion.
Wenn du einen Dieb siehst, so befreundest du dich mit ihm und hast Gemeinschaft mit Ehebrechern;
19 Thou lettest loose thy mouth with evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.
deinen Mund lässest du Böses reden, und deine Zunge flicht Betrug;
20 Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; against thy own mother's son thou utterest slander.
du sitzest und redest wider deinen Bruder, deiner Mutter Sohn verleumdest du!
21 These things hast thou done, and I kept silence: thou didst ween that I am like thyself; [but] I will reprove thee, and set it in order before thy eyes.”
Das hast du getan, und ich habe geschwiegen; da meintest du, ich sei gleich wie du; aber ich will dich strafen und es dir vor Augen stellen!
22 Do but reflect on this, ye that forget God, lest I tear [you] in pieces, with none to deliver.
Merket doch das, die ihr Gottes vergesset, daß ich nicht hinwegraffe und kein Erretter da sei!
23 Whoso offereth thanksgiving glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his course aright, will I show the salvation of God.
Wer Dank opfert, der ehrt mich, und wer den Weg bahnt, dem zeige ich Gottes Heil!
