Psalms 48
1 “A song and psalm by the sons of Korach.” Great is the Lord, and highly praised in the city of our God, [in] his holy mountain.
Uma Canção. Um Salmo dos filhos de Corá. Great é Yahweh, e muito a ser elogiado, na cidade de nosso Deus, em sua montanha sagrada.
2 A beautiful district, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, the farthest north, the city of the great King.
Beautiful na elevação, a alegria de toda a terra, é o Monte Zion, no lado norte, a cidade do grande Rei.
3 God is become known in her palaces as a defence.
God se mostrou em suas cidadelas como um refúgio.
4 For, lo, the kings were assembled, they are passed away together.
Pois, eis que os reis se reuniram, eles passaram juntos.
5 They indeed saw—[and] so they were astonished; they were terrified, they were confounded.
Eles o viram, depois ficaram surpresos. Eles ficaram consternados. Eles se apressaram.
6 Trembling seized on them there, pain, as on a woman in travail.
Trembling tomou posse deles lá, dor, como de uma mulher em trabalho.
7 With the east wind thou breakest the ships of Tharshish.
Com o vento leste, você quebra os navios de Tarshish.
8 As we have heard, so have we seen [it] in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. (Selah)
As já ouvimos falar, por isso já vimos, na cidade de Yahweh dos Exércitos, na cidade de nosso Deus. Deus o estabelecerá para sempre. (Selah)
9 We have reflected on thy kindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.
Nós pensamos em sua bondade amorosa, Deus, no meio do seu templo.
10 As thy name is, O God, so is thy praise over the ends of the earth: of righteousness is thy right hand full.
Como é seu nome, Deus, assim é seu elogio até os confins do mundo. Sua mão direita está cheia de retidão.
11 Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.
Que o Monte Zion fique contente! Que as filhas de Judá se regozijem por causa de seus julgamentos.
12 Compass Zion about, and walk round about her; number her towers.
Walk sobre Zion, e dê a volta a ela. Numere suas torres.
13 Direct your mind to her outer wall, mark carefully her palaces: in order that ye may tell it to the latest generation.
Notice seus baluartes. Considere seus palácios, que você pode contar isso para a próxima geração.
14 For this One is God, our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.
Pois este Deus é nosso Deus para todo o sempre. Ele será nosso guia até mesmo até a morte.
