Psalms 48

1 “A song and psalm by the sons of Korach.” Great is the Lord, and highly praised in the city of our God, [in] his holy mountain.

१कोरहाच्या पुत्राचे स्तोत्रगीत. आमच्या देवाच्या नगरात, त्याच्या पवित्र पर्वतावर, परमेश्वर थोर आणि परमस्तुत्य आहे.

2 A beautiful district, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, the farthest north, the city of the great King.

२सियोन डोंगर, जो थोर राजाची नगरी आहे, पृथ्वीच्या बाजूस आहे, त्याचे सौंदर्य उच्चतेवर, सर्व पृथ्वीवर आनंद आणते.

3 God is become known in her palaces as a defence.

३देवाने तिच्या राजमहालांमध्ये आपणास आश्रयदुर्ग असे प्रगट केले आहे.

4 For, lo, the kings were assembled, they are passed away together.

४कारण, पाहा, राजे एकत्र येत आहेत, ते एकत्र येऊन चढाई करून आले.

5 They indeed saw—[and] so they were astonished; they were terrified, they were confounded.

५त्यांनी पाहिले आणि ते विस्मित झाले. ते निराश झाले आणि पळत सुटले.

6 Trembling seized on them there, pain, as on a woman in travail.

६भयाने त्यांना गाठले, भीतीने त्यांचा थरकाप झाला. प्रसवणाऱ्या स्रीच्या वेदनांप्रमाणे त्यांना वेदना लागल्या.

7 With the east wind thou breakest the ships of Tharshish.

७पूर्वेकडच्या वाऱ्याने तू तार्शीशाची जहाजे मोडलीस.

8 As we have heard, so have we seen [it] in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. (Selah)

८होय, आम्ही ती गोष्ट ऐकली पण आम्ही ते सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वराच्या नगरात, आमच्या देवाच्या नगरात घडत असलेले पाहिले. देव ते शहर सदैव सामर्थ्यवान बनवतो.

9 We have reflected on thy kindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.

९देवा, आम्ही तुझ्या मंदिरात तुझ्या प्रेमदयेचा विचार करतो.

10 As thy name is, O God, so is thy praise over the ends of the earth: of righteousness is thy right hand full.

१०देवा, जसे तुझे नाव आहे, तशी तुझी किर्ती पृथ्वीच्या शेवटापर्यंत आहे.

11 Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.

११तुझ्या न्याय कृत्यांमुळे, सियोन पर्वत आनंद करो, यहूदाची कन्या हर्ष करोत.

12 Compass Zion about, and walk round about her; number her towers.

१२सियोने भोवती फिरा, शहर बघा, तिचे बुरुज मोजा.

13 Direct your mind to her outer wall, mark carefully her palaces: in order that ye may tell it to the latest generation.

१३उंच भिंती बघा, सियोनेच्या राजवाड्याचे वर्णन करा. नंतर तुम्ही पुढच्या पिढीला त्याबद्दल सांगू शकाल.

14 For this One is God, our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.

१४कारण हा देव, आमचा देव, सदासर्वकाळ आहे. तो सर्वकाळ आमचा मार्गदर्शक होईल.
