Psalms 48

1 “A song and psalm by the sons of Korach.” Great is the Lord, and highly praised in the city of our God, [in] his holy mountain.

Kanto-psalmo de la Koraĥidoj. Granda estas la Eternulo, Kaj tre glora en la urbo de nia Dio, Sur Lia sankta monto.

2 A beautiful district, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, the farthest north, the city of the great King.

Bela altaĵo, ĝojiga por la tuta tero Estas la monto Cion, en la norda regiono, La urbo de la granda Reĝo.

3 God is become known in her palaces as a defence.

Dio estas konata en ĝiaj palacoj, kiel rifuĝejo.

4 For, lo, the kings were assembled, they are passed away together.

Jen kolektiĝis la reĝoj, Sed ĉiuj kune foriris.

5 They indeed saw—[and] so they were astonished; they were terrified, they were confounded.

Ili vidis kaj ekmiris, Konfuziĝis kaj forkuris.

6 Trembling seized on them there, pain, as on a woman in travail.

Teruro ilin atakis, Tremo, kiel ĉe akuŝantino.

7 With the east wind thou breakest the ships of Tharshish.

Per orienta vento Vi ruinigis la ŝipojn de Tarŝiŝ.

8 As we have heard, so have we seen [it] in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. (Selah)

Kion ni aŭdis, tion ni vidis En la urbo de la Eternulo Cebaot, en la urbo de nia Dio; Dio fortikigu ĝin por ĉiam! (Sela)

9 We have reflected on thy kindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.

Ni meditis, ho Dio, pri Via boneco, Interne de Via templo.

10 As thy name is, O God, so is thy praise over the ends of the earth: of righteousness is thy right hand full.

Kiel Via nomo, ho Dio, Tiel Via gloro estas en la finoj de la tero; Plena de justeco estas Via dekstra mano.

11 Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.

Ĝoju la monto Cion, Ĝoju la filinoj de Jehuda, Pro Via juĝoj.

12 Compass Zion about, and walk round about her; number her towers.

Iru ĉirkaŭ Cion kaj ĉirkaŭrigardu ĝin, Kalkulu ĝiajn turojn.

13 Direct your mind to her outer wall, mark carefully her palaces: in order that ye may tell it to the latest generation.

Atentu ĝiajn fortikaĵojn, Vizitu ĝiajn palacojn, Por ke vi rakontu al estonta generacio.

14 For this One is God, our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.

Ĉar jen estas Dio, nia Dio, por ĉiam kaj eterne; Li estos nia kondukanto ĝis la morto.
