< Psalms 48 >

1 “A song and psalm by the sons of Korach.” Great is the Lord, and highly praised in the city of our God, [in] his holy mountain.
Wer. Zaburi mar yawuot Kora. Jehova Nyasaye duongʼ adier, kendo owinjore chuth gi pak, e dala maduongʼ mar Nyasachwa, ma en gode maler.
2 A beautiful district, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, the farthest north, the city of the great King.
E dala motingʼore malo kendo ober neno omiyo piny duto bedo mamor. Got Sayun chalo gi kama otingʼore malo mar Zafon, ma en dala maduongʼ mar Ruoth Maduongʼ.
3 God is become known in her palaces as a defence.
Nyasaye nitiere e dalane mochiel motegno kendo osenyisore ni en e ohingane.
4 For, lo, the kings were assembled, they are passed away together.
Ka ruodhi noriwo teko kanyakla, kane giwuokne oko kaachiel,
5 They indeed saw—[and] so they were astonished; they were terrified, they were confounded.
negineno mi gibuok; kendo negiringo gia ka luoro omakogi.
6 Trembling seized on them there, pain, as on a woman in travail.
Dendgi nochako tetni kanyo kendo negibedo gi rem machalo gi muoch ma kayo dhako.
7 With the east wind thou breakest the ships of Tharshish.
Ne iturogi matindo tindo ka meli mag Tarshish ma yamb wuok chiengʼ ongʼinjo.
8 As we have heard, so have we seen [it] in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. (Selah)
Mana kaka wasewinjo e kaka waseneno gi wengewa, e dala maduongʼ mar Jehova Nyasaye Maratego, e dala mar Nyasachwa: Nyasaye oselose kama dak berie nyaka chiengʼ. (Sela)
9 We have reflected on thy kindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.
Ei hekalu mari, yaye Nyasaye, ema wabetie ka waparo kuom herani ma ok rem.
10 As thy name is, O God, so is thy praise over the ends of the earth: of righteousness is thy right hand full.
Mana kaka nyingi, yaye Nyasaye, e kaka pakni bende chopo nyaka tungʼ piny; lweti ma korachwich opongʼ gi tim makare.
11 Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.
Got Sayun oil, kendo mier mag Juda nigi mor, nikech iyalo ji maber.
12 Compass Zion about, and walk round about her; number her towers.
Wuothi ei Sayun, luorri e iye koni gi koni, kwan osuche duto,
13 Direct your mind to her outer wall, mark carefully her palaces: in order that ye may tell it to the latest generation.

14 For this One is God, our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.
