Psalms 44
1 “To the chief musician, for the sons of Korach, a Maskil.” O God, with our ears have we heard, our fathers have told us, deeds which thou hadst done in their days, in times of old.
౧ప్రధాన సంగీతకారుడి కోసం, కోరహు వారసుల దైవ ధ్యానం. దేవా, మా పూర్వీకుల రోజుల్లో, మా పితరుల కాలంలో నువ్వు చేసిన పనులన్నిటిని గూర్చి మా పితరులు మాకు చెప్పారు. మేము మా చెవులారా విన్నాం.
2 Thou, with thy hand, didst indeed drive out nations, and plant them; thou didst ill-treat people, and cause them to spread out.
౨నువ్వు నీ చేత్తో వివిధ జాతులను తోసివేశావు. మా ప్రజలను అక్కడ నాటావు. ప్రజలను బాధపెట్టావు. కానీ దేశంలో మా ప్రజలను విస్తరింపజేశావు.
3 For not by their sword did they obtain possession of the land, and their own arm brought them no victory; but thy right hand, and thy arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst given them thy favor.
౩వాళ్ళు తమ చేతనున్న కత్తితో అక్కడి భూమిని తమ కోసం స్వాధీనం చేసుకోలేదు. వారి భుజబలం వారిని రక్షించలేదు. కానీ నీ కుడి చెయ్యి, నీ భుజబలం, నీ ముఖకాంతి వాళ్ళకి విజయం సాధించిపెట్టాయి. నువ్వు వాళ్ళకు అనుకూలంగా ఉన్నావు.
4 Thou art my King, O God: ordain salvation for Jacob.
౪దేవా, నువ్వే నాకు రాజువి. యాకోబుకు విజయం కలగాలని ఆజ్ఞాపించు.
5 Through thee will we butt down our assailants: through thy name will we tread under foot our opponents.
౫నీ ద్వారా మేము మా శత్రువులను అణచి వేస్తాం. నీ నామాన్ని బట్టి మేము మాపై లేచే వాళ్ళను తొక్కి వేస్తాం.
6 For not in my bow will I trust, and my sword shall not help me.
౬నేను నా విల్లుపై భరోసా ఉంచను. నా కత్తి నన్ను రక్షించలేదు.
7 But thou helpest us against our assailants, and those that hate us thou puttest to shame.
౭మా శత్రువుల నుండి మమ్మల్ని కాపాడింది నువ్వే. మమ్మల్ని ద్వేషించే వాళ్ళను సిగ్గుపరిచిందీ నువ్వే.
8 Of God we boast all the day, and to thy name will we give thanks for ever. (Selah)
౮మా దేవునిలోనే మేము రోజంతా గర్విస్తున్నాం. నీ నామానికి శాశ్వతంగా కృతజ్ఞతలు చెప్పుకుంటాం. (సెలా)
9 But [now] thou hast cast off, and put us to the blush, and goest not forth with our armies.
౯అయితే ఇప్పుడు నువ్వు మమ్మల్ని తోసివేశావు. మా పైకి అవమానం పంపించావు. మా సైన్యాలతో కలసి నువ్వు బయలుదేరడం లేదు.
10 Thou causest us to turn back from before our assailant: and they who hate us take spoil for themselves.
౧౦శత్రువుల ఎదుట నిలబడలేక వెనక్కి తిరిగేలా చేస్తున్నావు. మమ్మల్ని ద్వేషించేవాళ్ళు తమ కోసం మమ్మల్ని దోచుకుంటున్నారు.
11 Thou givest us up like sheep for food, and among the nations hast thou dispersed us.
౧౧వాళ్ళ కోసం ఆహారంగా తయారైన గొర్రెల్లాగా మమ్మల్ని చేశావు. అనేక దేశాల్లోకి మమ్మల్ని చెదరగొట్టావు.
12 Thou sellest thy people for no value, and acquirest no gain by their price.
౧౨అతి తక్కువ వెలకు మమ్మల్ని అమ్మివేశావు. అలా చేయడం మూలంగా నీ సంపద ఏమీ అధికం కాలేదు.
13 Thou renderest us a reproach to our neighbors, a scorn and a derision to those that are round about us.
౧౩మా పొరుగు వాళ్ళ దృష్టిలో మమ్మల్ని నిందకూ ఎగతాళికీ పరిహాసానికీ కారణంగా చేశావు.
14 Thou renderest us a by-word among the nations, a shaking of the head among the people.
౧౪మా చుట్టూ ఉన్న దేశాల్లో మమ్మల్ని ఒక అవమానంగా, ప్రజలు తల ఊపి హేళన చేయడానికి కారణంగా చేశావు.
15 All the day is my disgrace before me, and the shame of my face covereth me;
౧౫పరిహాసం, అవమానం చేసే వాళ్ళ కారణంగా, పగ తీర్చుకునే శత్రువు కారణంగా
16 Because of the voice of him that reproacheth and blasphemeth; by reason of the enemy and him that seeketh vengeance.
౧౬ఆ అవమానమే రోజంతా నా ఎదుట ఉంది. నా ముఖంలో కనిపించే అవమానం నన్ను నిలువెల్లా కప్పివేస్తున్నది.
17 All this is come over us, yet have we not forgotten thee; nor have we dealt falsely by thy covenant;
౧౭ఇదంతా మాకు జరిగినా మేము మాత్రం నిన్ను మర్చిపోలేదు. నీ నిబంధనను అతిక్రమించలేదు.
18 Our heart is not moved backward, nor hath our step turned aside from thy path:
౧౮మా హృదయం నిన్ను విడిచి వెనక్కి మళ్ళలేదు. మా అడుగులు నీ మార్గాన్ని విడువలేదు.
19 Even when thou didst crush us in the abode of monsters, and cover us with the shadow of death.
౧౯కానీ నువ్వు నక్కలు తిరిగే చోట మమ్మల్ని తీవ్రంగా విరగ్గొట్టావు. చావునీడ కింద మమ్మల్ని కప్పి ఉంచావు.
20 If we had forgotten the name of our God, or spread forth our hands to a strange God:
౨౦ఒకవేళ మేము మా దేవుడి నామాన్ని మర్చిపోయి అన్య దేవతల వైపు మా చెయ్యి చాపితే
21 Would not God search out this? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.
౨౧హృదయ రహస్యాలు తెలిసిన దేవుడు ఇది తెలుసుకోకుండా ఉంటాడా?
22 But for thy sake are we slain all the day; we are counted as flocks [destined] for slaughter.
౨౨కచ్చితంగా మేము నీ కోసం రోజంతా వధకు గురౌతున్నాం. వధించడం కోసం ప్రత్యేకించిన గొర్రెల్లాగా ఉన్నాము.
23 Awake, wherefore wilt thou sleep, O Lord? arise, abandon us not for ever.
౨౩ప్రభూ, నువ్వు ఎందుకు నిద్రపోతున్నావు? నిద్ర మేలుకో, మమ్మల్ని శాశ్వతంగా విడిచి పెట్టకు.
24 Wherefore wilt thou hide thy face, wilt thou forget our misery, and our oppression?
౨౪నీ ముఖాన్ని మాకెందుకు చాటు చేసుకుంటున్నావు? మా వేదననూ మాకు కలిగే హింసనూ మర్చిపోయావెందుకు?
25 For our soul is bowed down to the dust; our body cleaveth unto the earth.
౨౫మా ప్రాణం నేల వరకూ కుంగి పోయింది. మా శరీరం నేలకు కరచుకుని ఉంది.
26 Arise unto our help, and redeem us for the sake of thy kindness.
౨౬మాకు సహాయం చేయడానికి లే. నీ నిబంధన కృపను బట్టి మమ్మల్ని విమోచించు.
