Psalms 43

1 Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: from the deceitful and unjust man do thou deliver me.

Ítélj meg engem oh Isten! és oltalmazd meg ügyemet az irgalmatlan nemzetség ellen; az álnok és hamis embertől szabadíts meg engem.

2 For thou art the God of my fortress: why hast thou abandoned me? why must I walk about grieved, under the oppression of the enemy?

Hiszen te vagy oltalmam Istene, miért vetettél hát meg engemet? Miért kell gyászban járnom ellenség háborgatása miatt?

3 Send thou thy light and thy truth, these shall guide me; they shall bring me unto thy holy mountain, and to thy dwellings:

Küldd el világosságodat és igazságodat, azok vezessenek engem; vigyenek el a te szent hegyedre és hajlékaidba.

4 That I may go unto the altar of God, unto God the joy of my gladness; and that I may thank thee upon the harp, O God, my God.

Hadd menjek be Isten oltárához, vígasságos örömömnek Istenéhez, és hadd dicsérjelek téged cziterával, Isten, én Istenem!

5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God; for I shall yet thank him, the salvation of my countenance, and my God.

Miért csüggedsz el lelkem, miért nyughatatlankodol bennem? Bízzál Istenben, mert még hálát adok én néki, az én szabadítómnak és Istenemnek.
