Psalms 43

1 Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: from the deceitful and unjust man do thou deliver me.

Jogot szerezz nekem, Isten és vidd ügyemet nem kegyes nemzet ellen; csalárdság és jogtalanság emberétől szabadíts meg engem.

2 For thou art the God of my fortress: why hast thou abandoned me? why must I walk about grieved, under the oppression of the enemy?

Mert te vagy erősségem istene, mért vetettél el engem; mért járok elbúsultan ellenség nyomása alatt?

3 Send thou thy light and thy truth, these shall guide me; they shall bring me unto thy holy mountain, and to thy dwellings:

Küldd világosságodat és hűségedet, azok vezéreljenek engem, vigyenek el szent hegyedhez és hajlékaidhoz;

4 That I may go unto the altar of God, unto God the joy of my gladness; and that I may thank thee upon the harp, O God, my God.

hadd mehessek be Isten oltárához, újjongó örömöm Istenéhez, hadd magasztallak téged hárfán, oh Isten, én Istenem!

5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God; for I shall yet thank him, the salvation of my countenance, and my God.

Mit görnyedezel, én lelkem és mit zajongsz én bennem? Várakozzál Istenre, mert még fogom őt magasztalni, arczom segítségét és Istenemet.
