Psalms 41

1 “To the chief musician, a psalm of David.” Happy is he that careth for the poor: on the day of evil will the Lord deliver him.

١ لِقَائِدِ الْمُنْشِدِينَ، مَزْمُورٌ لِدَاوُدَ طُوبَى لِلْمُتَرَفِّقِ بِالْمِسْكِينِ، فَإِنَّ الرَّبَّ يُنْقِذُهُ فِي يَوْمِ الشَّرِّ.

2 The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; he shall be made happy on the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the revengeful desire of his enemies.

٢ الرَّبُّ يَحْفَظُهُ وَيُحْيِيهِ وَيُسْعِدُهُ فِي الأَرْضِ، وَلَا يُسَلِّمُهُ إِلَى مَقَاصِدِ أَعْدَائِهِ.

3 The Lord will sustain him upon the bed of painful disease: thou changest all his couch in his sickness.

٣ يَعْضُدُهُ الرَّبُّ عَلَى فِرَاشِ الأَلَمِ، وَيَرُدُّ عَافِيَتَهُ.

4 I said, Lord, be gracious unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.

٤ وَأَنَا قُلْتُ: يَا رَبُّ ارْحَمْنِي! أَبْرِئْ نَفْسِي لأَنِّي قَدْ أَخْطَأْتُ إِلَيْكَ.

5 My enemies speak evil of me, When will he die, and his name perish?

٥ أَعْدَائِي يَتَآمَرُونَ عَلَيَّ بِالشَّرِّ وَيَقُولُونَ: «مَتَى يَمُوتُ وَيَنْقَرِضُ اسْمُهُ؟»

6 And if he come to see [me], he speaketh falsely: his heart gathereth wickedness to itself; he goeth abroad [and] speaketh it.

٦ إِنْ أَقْبَلَ لِيَرَانِي، يُبْدِي لِي نِفَاقاً وَيُضْمِرُ فِي قَلْبِهِ شَرّاً يُشِيعُهُ عَنِّي حَالَمَا يُفَارِقُنِي.

7 Altogether whisper against me all that hate me: against me do they devise my injury.

٧ جَمِيعُ مُبْغِضِيَّ يَتَهَامَسُونَ عَلَيَّ، وَيَتَآمَرُونَ عَلَى إِيذَائِي

8 “His godless deed [say they] is poured out over him: as he lieth there he will never more rise up again.”

٨ قَائِلِينَ: «قَدِ اعْتَرَاهُ دَاءٌ عُضَالٌ، وَلَنْ يَقُومَ مِنْ فِرَاشِهِ أَبَداً».

9 Yea, even the man that should have sought my welfare, in whom I trusted, who eateth my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.

٩ حَتَّى صَدِيقِي الْمُلازِمُ لِي الَّذِي وَثِقْتُ بِهِ، الآكِلُ مِنْ طَعَامِي قَدِ انْقَلَبَ عَلَيَّ، وَرَفَعَ عَلَيَّ عَقِبَهُ.

10 But thou, O Lord, be gracious unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite it unto them.

١٠ أَمَّا أَنْتَ يَا رَبُّ فَارْحَمْنِي وَاشْفِنِي، فَأُجَازِيَهُمْ.

11 By this do I know that thou art pleased with me, that my enemy doth not triumph over me.

١١ قَدْ أَدْرَكْتُ أَنِّي حَظِيتُ بِرِضَاكَ (حِينَ نَصَرْتَنِي) فَلَمْ يُطْلِقْ عَلَيَّ عَدُوِّي هُتَافَ الظَّفَرِ

12 But as for me, thou upholdest me in my integrity, and placest me before thy presence for ever.

١٢ فَإِنَّكَ تَدْعَمُنِي فِي كَمَالِي، وَتُقِيمُنِي فِي مَحْضَرِكَ إِلَى الأَبَدِ.

13 Blessed be the Lord the God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen. BEGIM

١٣ تَبَارَكَ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُ إِسْرَائِيلَ، مِنَ الأَزَلِ وَإِلَى الأَبَدِ. آمِين فَآمِين.
