Psalms 4
1 “To the chief musician on Neginoth, a psalm of David.” When I call, answer me, O God of my righteousness: amidst distress thou hast [ever] granted me enlargement; be gracious unto me, and hear my prayer.
Para o músico chefe; em instrumentos de corda. Um salmo de David. Answer me quando eu chamo, Deus de minha justiça. Dê-me alívio da minha angústia. Tenha piedade de mim, e ouça minhas orações.
2 O ye sons of men, how long shall my glory be put to shame? [how long] will ye love vanity, will ye seek for lies? (Selah)
Vós, filhos dos homens, por quanto tempo minha glória será transformada em desonra? Você vai amar a vaidade e buscar a falsidade? (Selah)
3 But know that the Lord hath set apart the pious for himself: the Lord will hear when I call on him.
Mas saiba que Yahweh separou para si mesmo aquele que é piedoso; Yahweh ouvirá quando eu ligar para ele.
4 Tremble, and sin not: commune with your heart upon your bed, and be still (Selah)
Stand com admiração, e não pecar. Procure seu próprio coração em sua cama, e fique quieto. (Selah)
5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the Lord.
Offer os sacrifícios de retidão. Deposite sua confiança em Yahweh.
6 Many say, “Who will show us happiness? Let shine brightly over us the light of thy countenance, O Lord.”
Many dizem: “Quem nos mostrará algum bem?” Yahweh, deixe a luz de seu rosto brilhar sobre nós.
7 [But] thou hast placed more joy in my heart than at the time when their corn and their wine were increased.
Você colocou alegria em meu coração, mais do que quando seus grãos e seu novo vinho são aumentados.
8 In peace, altogether, will I lay me down and sleep; for thou, Lord, alone, causest me to dwell in safety.
Em paz me deitarei e dormirei, só para você, Yahweh, me faça viver em segurança.
