Psalms 39

1 “To the chief musician, to Jeduthun, a psalm of David.” I said, I will guard my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will guard my mouth with a muzzle, while the wicked is before me.

౧ప్రధాన సంగీతకారుడు యెదూతూను కోసం. దావీదు కీర్తన ఇది నా నిర్ణయం, నా నాలుకతో పాపం చేయకుండా ఉండటానికి నా మాటలను జాగ్రత్తగా చూసుకుంటాను. దుర్మార్గుడి దగ్గర నా నోటికి కళ్ళెం పెట్టుకుంటాను.

2 I was dumb in deep silence, I was quite still, even from [speaking] good; but my pain was greatly excited;

౨నేను మౌనంగా ఉన్నాను. మంచి సంగతులను కూడా పలకకుండా ఉన్నాను. నా వేదన అధికమైంది.

3 My heart was hot within me, in my self-communing there burnt a fire: [then] spoke I with my tongue,

౩నా గుండె నాలో రగులుతూ ఉంది. ఈ విషయాలను గూర్చి నేను ఆలోచిస్తూ ఉంటే అది ఇంకా అగ్నిలా మండుతున్నది. చివరకు నేను ఇలా అన్నాను.

4 Let me know, O Lord, my end, and the measure of my days, what it is: I wish to know when I shall cease to be.

౪యెహోవా, నా జీవితం ఎప్పుడు అంతమౌతుందో నాకు తెలియజెయ్యి. నా జీవితంలో ఇంకా ఎన్ని రోజులు మిగిలి ఉన్నాయో తెలియజెయ్యి. నా జీవితం ఎంత క్షణ భంగురమో నేను తెలుసుకునేలా చెయ్యి.

5 Behold, measured out with the span hast thou made my days; and my whole duration is nothing before thee: yea, as nothing but vanity doth every man stand here. (Selah)

౫ఇదిగో, నువ్వు నా జీవితంలో రోజులను ఒక బెత్తెడంతగా చేశావు. నా జీవితకాలం నీ ఎదుట అసలు లేనట్టే ఉంది. ప్రతి మనిషీ నిశ్చయంగా కేవలం ఊపిరిలాగా ఉన్నాడు. (సెలా)

6 As nothing but a shadowy image doth man walk about, yea, for vanity only do all make a noise: he heapeth up his gains, and knoweth not who shall gather them.

౬నిశ్చయంగా ప్రతి మనిషీ నీడలా తిరుగుతూ ఉంటాడు. నిస్సందేహంగా మనుషులు సంపదలు సమకూర్చుకోవడానికి త్వరపడుతూ ఉంటారు, అవన్నీ చివరగా ఎవరికి దక్కుతాయో తెలియకపోయినా సరే.

7 And now, what shall I wait for, O Lord? my hope is in thee.

౭ప్రభూ, ఇప్పుడు నేను దేని కోసం వేచి ఉన్నాను? నాకున్న ఆధారం నువ్వే.

8 From all my transgressions deliver thou me: render me not the object of reproach of the worthless.

౮నా పాపాలన్నిటిపైనా నాకు విజయం దయచెయ్యి. మూర్ఖులు అవమానించడానికి లక్ష్యంగా నన్ను చేయవద్దు.

9 I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; because thou hadst done it.

౯ఇదంతా నువ్వే జరిగించావు. నేను నోరు తెరవకుండా మౌనంగా ఉన్నాను.

10 Remove thou thy plague away from me: from the blows of thy hand am I consumed.

౧౦నన్ను గాయపరచడం ఇక ఆపు. నీ చేతి దెబ్బ నన్ను అణచివేస్తుంది.

11 When thou with corrections chastisest man for iniquity, thou causest his excellence to melt away as [if eaten by] the moth: yea, nothing but vanity is every man. (Selah)

౧౧పాపం కారణంగా నువ్వు మనుషులను శిక్షించినప్పుడు చెద పురుగులా వారి శక్తిని నువ్వు హరిస్తావు. నిశ్చయంగా మనుషులందరూ ఆవిరిలాంటి వాళ్ళు. (సెలా)

12 Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear unto my cry; be not silent at my tears; for a stranger am I with thee, a sojourner, like all my fathers.

౧౨యెహోవా, నా ప్రార్థన విను. నేను చెప్పేది విను. నా రోదనను పట్టించుకో. చెవిటివాడిలాగా ఉండకు. నీ ఎదుట నేను పరదేశిలా ఉన్నాను. నా పూర్వీకులందరిలాగ శరణార్ధిలాగా ఉన్నాను.

13 Leave off from me, that I may recover strength, before I go hence, and am no more.

౧౩నేను చనిపోయేముందు నేను సంతోషించేలా నా నుంచి నీ కోపపు చూపులు చాలించుకో.
