Psalms 38
1 “A psalm of David, to bring to remembrance.” O Lord, correct me not in thy wrath, nor chastise me in thy fury.
David kah ngaidamnah Tingtoenglung Aw BOEIPA, na thinhul neh kai n'tluung boel lamtah na kosi neh kai n'toel boeh.
2 For thy arrows have penetrated into me, and thy hand presseth down upon me.
Na thaltang loh kai dongah sap ha tlaeh tih na kut loh kai n'nan.
3 There is no soundness in my flesh because of thy indignation: there is no peace in my bones because of my sin.
Nang kah kosi dongah ka pum he hlang la om voelpawh. Ka tholh dongah ka rhuh a sading pawh.
4 For my iniquities are passed over my head, as a heavy burden are they too heavy for me.
Kai kathaesainah loh ka lu hang khuk tih, kai ham hnophueih bangla a rhih loh n'nan.
5 Foul, corrupt are my bruises because of my folly.
Ka anglat dongah, ka boengha rhong tih rhim coeng.
6 I am bent double; I am bowed down to the utmost; all the day long I go about full of grief.
Ka ngam paihaeh tangkik hil khohnin yungah kopang neh ka van.
7 For my loins are filled with a burning disease, and there is no soundness in my flesh.
Ka uen khaw boeih duih tih, ka pum he hlang la om voelpaawh.
8 I am made faint and crushed to the utmost; I cry aloud because of the groaning of my heart.
Ka lungmit tih ka paep dongah, lungbuei phoenanah neh mat ka kawk.
9 Lord, before thee is all my longing; and my sighing is from thee not hidden.
Ka ngaihlihnah boeih he, ka Boeipa namah taengah ka hal tih, ka hueinah he namah taeng lamloh a thuh moenih.
10 My heart is restless, my strength hath left me; and the light of my eyes—that also is no more with me.
Ka lungbuei a thimpom tih ka thadueng hnoeng. Te dongah ka mik khaw tueng pawh.
11 My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my plague; and my kinsmen stand afar off.
Ka tlohtat dongah ka lungnah ka paya rhoek loh saisai m'pai tak tih ka huiko khaw a hla lam ni a pai uh coeng.
12 They also that seek after my life lay snares; and they that wish for my mishap speak wicked falsehoods; and deceits do they devise all the day long.
Ka hinglu aka mae rhoek loh n'hlaeh tih, kai yoethae puei ham aka tlap rhoek loh a talnah te a thui uh. Te dongah hlangthai palat rhoek loh hnin at puet n'taeng uh.
13 But I, as a deaf man, hear not; and I am as a dumb man that cannot open his mouth.
Tedae kai tah hnapang bangla ka ya voelpawt tih olmueh loh a ka a ang pawt bangla ka om.
14 Thus am I as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no words of defence.
Te dongah aka ya thai pawt tih a ka ah toelthamnah aka om pawt hlang bangla ka om.
15 For in thee, O Lord, do I hope: thou wilt answer, O Lord my God.
BOEIPA nang dongah ka hangdang tih nang loh nan doo bitni ka Boeipa ka Pathen aw
16 For I said, Perhaps they might rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they might magnify themselves over me.
Te dongah, “Ka kho he a paloe vaengah kai n'kohah thil uh tih kai soah pomsang uh ve,” ka ti.
17 For I am prepared for [my] downfall, and my pain is continually before me.
Cungdonah ham ka tawn uh tih ka nganboh loh kamah taengah om taitu.
18 For I will tell of my iniquity; I will be grieved because of my sin.
Te dongah kai kathaesainah te ka doek. Kamah kah tholhnah dongah ka mawn.
19 But my enemies are strong in life; and numerous are those that hate me wrongfully;
Tedae ka thunkha rhoek kah hingnah tah ting tih a honghi dongah ka lunguet loh pungtai.
20 They also that repay [me] evil in lieu of good; they hate me bitterly because I pursue what is good.
Te dongah a then te a thae neh aka thuung rhoek loh kai n'khingkhoek vaengah a then te kamah loh ka vai rhoela ka vai.
21 Forsake me not, O Lord: O my God, be not far from me.
Ka BOEIPA Pathen aw, kai n'hno boel lamtah kai taeng lamkah n'lakhla tak boeh.
22 Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation.
Kai bomkung la ha tawn uh laeh ka loeihnah Boeipa.
