Psalms 37
1 “Of David.” Do not fret thyself because of the evil-doers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
ದಾವೀದನ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ. ಕೆಟ್ಟವರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಕೋಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡ. ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅಕ್ರಮ ಮಾಡುವವರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಕಿಚ್ಚುಪಡಬೇಡ.
2 For like the grass they shall soon be mowed down, and like the green herb shall they wither.
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಅವರು ಹುಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಬೇಗ ಒಣಗಿ ಹೋಗುವರು. ಹಸಿರಾದ ಸೊಪ್ಪಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಬಾಡಿಹೋಗುವರು.
3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed [thyself] with truthfulness.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸೆ ಇಟ್ಟು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡು; ಆಗ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡಿ ಹಸಿರುಗಾವಲನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವಿ.
4 And delight thyself in the Lord, and he will give thee the wishes of thy heart.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಆನಂದವಾಗಿರು; ಆಗ ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷೆಗಳನ್ನು ಈಡೇರಿಸುವರು.
5 Commit thy way unto the Lord, and trust in him: and he will accomplish it.
ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸು; ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸೆ ಇಡು; ಅವರು ನಿನಗೆ ಇದನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವರು:
6 And he will bring forth as the light thy righteousness, and the justice of thy [cause] as the noonday.
ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನ ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಉದಯದ ಬೆಳಕಿನ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡುವರು, ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದ ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಹಾಗೆ ಹೊಳೆಯುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವರು.
7 Be silent before the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who practices wicked devices.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಶಾಂತನಾಗಿರು; ಮೌನವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಎದುರು ನೋಡು; ತಮ್ಮ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಫಲವಾಗುವವರನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಸಿಡುಕಬೇಡ. ಕುಯುಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಕೋಪ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡ.
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ಅಡಗಿಸು ಮತ್ತು ರೋಷವನ್ನು ಬಿಡು. ಸಿಡುಕಬೇಡ, ಅದು ಕೆಟ್ಟತನಕ್ಕೆ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತದೆ.
9 For evil-doers shall be cut off; but those that wait upon the Lord, these—shall truly inherit the land.
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ದುರ್ಮಾರ್ಗಿಗಳು ನಾಶವಾಗುವರು; ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವವರೇ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.
10 For yet but for a little while, and the wicked shall be no more: yea, thou wilt look carefully at his place, and he shall not be there.
ಇನ್ನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದುಷ್ಟನು ಕಾಣದೆ ಹೋಗುವನು. ಅವನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿದರೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
11 But the meek shall inherit the land, and shall delight themselves because of the abundance of peace.
ಆದರೆ ಸಾತ್ವಿಕರು ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು. ದೀನರು ಬಹಳ ಸಮಾಧಾನವನ್ನೂ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವರು.
12 The wicked purposeth evil against the just, and gnasheth against him with his teeth.
ದುಷ್ಟನು ನೀತಿವಂತನಿಗಾಗಿ ಒಳಸಂಚು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಆದರೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಹಲ್ಲು ಕಡಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.
13 The Lord will laugh at him; for he seeth that his day is coming.
ದುಷ್ಟನ ದಿವಸ ಬರುತ್ತದೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನಗುತ್ತಾರೆ.
14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cause the poor and needy to fall, and to slaughter such as are of an upright course [of life].
ದುಷ್ಟರು ಬಡವನನ್ನೂ ದೀನನನ್ನೂ ಬೀಳಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಖಡ್ಗವನ್ನು ಹಿರಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಸನ್ಮಾರ್ಗದವರನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಬಿಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಬಗ್ಗಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
15 [But] their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
ಆದರೆ ಅವರ ಖಡ್ಗ ಅವರ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಿದು ಬಿಡುವುದು; ಅವರ ಬಿಲ್ಲುಗಳು ಮುರಿದುಹೋಗುವವು.
16 Better is the little that the righteous hath, than the great riches of many wicked.
ದುಷ್ಟರ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯಕ್ಕಿಂತ ನೀತಿವಂತರ ಅಲ್ಪವೇ ಲೇಸು.
17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the upholder of the righteous is the Lord.
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟರ ತೋಳುಗಳು ಮುರಿದುಹೋಗುವವು, ಆದರೆ ನೀತಿವಂತರನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಉದ್ಧಾರ ಮಾಡುವರು.
18 The Lord regardeth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall endure for ever.
ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ದಿವಸಗಳನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಪರಾಮರಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳೆಯುವರು. ನಿರಪರಾಧಿಯ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆಯು ಯುಗಯುಗಕ್ಕೂ ಇರುವುದು.
19 They shall not be made ashamed in the time of unhappiness; and in the days of famine shall they be satisfied.
ಆಪತ್ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಕುಂದುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಕ್ಷಾಮದ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವರು.
20 But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the beauty of the meadow: they pass away; in smoke they pass away.
ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟರು ನಾಶವಾಗುವರು; ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ಗದ್ದೆಯ ಹೂಗಳಂತೆ ಬಾಡಿಹೋಗುವರು; ಹೊಗೆಯಂತೆ ಮಾಯವಾಗುವರು.
21 The wicked borroweth, and repayeth not; but the righteous is beneficent, and giveth.
ದುಷ್ಟನು ಸಾಲ ಮಾಡಿ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಕೊಡದೆ ಹೋಗುವನು. ಆದರೆ ನೀತಿವಂತನು ಧಾರಾಳವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
22 For those blessed of him shall inherit the land; and those cursed of him shall be cut off.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸುವವರು, ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು; ಆದರೆ ದೇವರ ಶಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗುವವರು ನಾಶವಾಗುವರು.
23 By the Lord are the steps of the righteous man established; and he findeth pleasure in his course [of life].
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರು ಹರ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಾರೋ ಅವರ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಿರಪಡಿಸುವರು.
24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholdeth his hand.
ಅವನು ಎಡವಿದರೂ ಬಿದ್ದುಹೋಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ತಾವೇ ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಹಿಡಿಯುವರು.
25 I have been young, and I am also grown old: yet have I never seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed seeking for bread.
ನಾನು ಬಾಲಕನಾಗಿದ್ದೆನು, ಈಗ ಮುದುಕನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಆದರೆ ನೀತಿವಂತನು ಕೈಬಿಟ್ಟಿರುವುದನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಅವನ ಸಂತತಿಯು ರೊಟ್ಟಿಗಾಗಿ ಭಿಕ್ಷೆ ಬೇಡುವುದನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಎಂದೂ ನಾನು ನೋಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
26 He is all the time beneficent, and lendeth: and his seed will be for a blessing.
ಅವರು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಧಾರಾಳವಾಗಿ ಸಾಲ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾರೆ; ನೀತಿವಂತನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರು ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಹೊಂದುವರು.
27 Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.
ಕೇಡಿನಿಂದ ತೊಲಗಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡು, ಆಗ ಯುಗಯುಗಕ್ಕೂ ನಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವೆ.
28 For the Lord loveth justice, and never forsaketh his pious servants: they are for ever preserved; but the seed of the wicked will be cut off.
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ತಮ್ಮ ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತ ಜನರನ್ನು ತೊರೆದುಬಿಡರು. ನೀತಿವಂತರು ಸದಾಕಾಲಕವೂ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತರಾಗಿರುವರು; ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟರ ಸಂತತಿಯು ಅಳಿದುಹೋಗುವುದು.
29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell for ever therein.
ನೀತಿವಂತರು ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವರು.
30 The mouth of the righteous uttereth wisdom, and his tongue speaketh what is just.
ನೀತಿವಂತನ ಬಾಯಿ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ನುಡಿಯುವುದು; ಅವನ ನಾಲಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡುವುದು.
31 The law of his God is in his heart: none of his steps shall slip.
ಅವನ ದೇವರ ನಿಯಮವೂ ಅವನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೆ; ಅವನ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಕದಲುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
32 The wicked looketh out for the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.
ದುಷ್ಟನು ನೀತಿವಂತನಿಗಾಗಿ ಒಳಸಂಚು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಲು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಾನೆ.
33 The Lord will not leave him in his hand, and will not condemn him when he is judged.
ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ದುಷ್ಟನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ನ್ಯಾಯ ವಿಚಾರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀತಿವಂತನನ್ನು ಅಪರಾಧಿಯೆಂದು ತೀರ್ಪು ಕೊಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
34 Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he will exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, shalt thou look on.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸು; ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆ; ಆಗ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅವರು ಉನ್ನತಕ್ಕೆ ತರುವರು; ದುಷ್ಟರ ವಿನಾಶವನ್ನು ನೀವು ಕಾಣುವಿರಿ.
35 I have seen the wicked terrible in power, and striking root like a green tree in its native soil.
ದುಷ್ಟರು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಅಧಿಕಾರದಲ್ಲಿರುವುದನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕಂಡೆನು; ಅವರು ಹಸಿರಾಗಿ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಮರದ ಹಾಗೆ ಇದ್ದರು.
36 Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was no more: and I sought him, but he could not be found.
ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಅಳಿದೇ ಹೋದರು; ಅವರನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿದೆನು; ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಸಿಕ್ಕಲಿಲ್ಲ.
37 Observe the perfect man, and behold the upright; for there is a [happy] future for the man of peace.
ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಯನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸು; ಯಥಾರ್ಥನನ್ನು ನೋಡು; ಸಮಾಧಾನ ಹುಡುಕುವವರಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವಿದೆ.
38 But the transgressors are destroyed together: the future of the wicked is cut off.
ಆದರೆ ದ್ರೋಹಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಾಶವಾಗುವರು; ದುಷ್ಟರಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ.
39 And the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord: he is their strong-hold in the time of distress.
ನೀತಿವಂತರ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಂದಲೇ; ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರೇ ಅವರ ಕೋಟೆ.
40 And the Lord helpeth them, and delivereth them; he will deliver them from the wicked, and save them; because they have put their trust in him.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯಮಾಡಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸುವರು. ದುಷ್ಟರಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಬಿಡಿಸುವರು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರು ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಆಶ್ರಯ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
