< Psalms 36 >

1 “To the chief musician, by the servant of the Lord, by David.” Saith vice itself to the wicked—so I feel it within my heart— that he should have no dread of God before his eyes.
Pou direktè koral la; Yon Sòm David, sèvitè SENYÈ a Se Peche ki pale nan fon kè a lòm ki san Bondye. Nanpwen krent Bondye devan zye l.
2 For he flattereth himself in his own eyes [too much] to find out his iniquity to hate it.
Jan li kontan ak pwòp tèt li, li pa janm wè pwop peche pa l la.
3 The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, to do good.
Pawòl a bouch li se mechanste avèk manti. Li fè yon chemen ki pa bon.
4 He deviseth wickedness upon his couch; he placeth himself on a way that is not good; evil he despiseth not.
Sou kabann li, li fè plan mechan; Li antre nan yon wout ki p ap sòti byen; Li pa rayi mal.
5 O Lord, into the heavens reacheth thy kindness, thy faithfulness even into the skies.
Lanmou dous Ou, O SENYÈ, rive jis nan syèl yo, fidelite Ou nan syèl la.
6 Thy righteousness is like the mountains of God; thy acts of justice like the great deep: man and beast dost thou ever help, O Lord.
Ladwati Ou se tankou mòn Bondye yo, ejijman Ou yo tankou yon gran pwofondè. O SENYÈ, Ou prezève ni lòm, ni bèt.
7 How precious is thy kindness, O God! And the children of men that seek shelter under the shadow of thy wings, —
Lanmou dous Ou chè, O Bondye! Pitit a lòm yo pran azil anba lonbraj zèl Ou.
8 These will be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and of the stream of thy delights wilt thou give them to drink.
Yo bwè jiskaske yo vin plen an abondans lakay Ou. Konsa, Ou bay yo bwè nan rivyè plezi Ou yo.
9 For with thee is the source of life: in thy light shall we see light.
Paske avèk Ou, se fontèn dlo lavi a. Nan limyè pa Ou a, nou wè limyè.
10 Draw down continuously thy kindness unto those that acknowledge thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.
O bay toujou lanmou dous Ou a pou (sila) ki konnen Ou yo, ak ladwati Ou pou (sila) ki dwat nan kè yo.
11 Let not come against me the foot of pride, and let not the hand of the wicked chase me off.
Pa kite pye ògèy vini sou mwen, ni pa kite men a mechan yo chase mwen ale.
12 There are fallen the workers of wickedness: they are thrust down, and shall not be able to rise.
Se la (sila) k ap fè inikite yo gen tan fin tonbe. Yo te peze desann ak fòs, e yo p ap kab leve ankò.
