< Psalms 36 >
1 “To the chief musician, by the servant of the Lord, by David.” Saith vice itself to the wicked—so I feel it within my heart— that he should have no dread of God before his eyes.
David, Yehowa ƒe dɔla, ƒe ha na hɛnɔ la. Yehowa ƒe gbedeasi aɖe le nye dzi me tso ame vɔ̃ɖi ƒe nu vɔ̃ wɔwɔ ŋuti. Mawuvɔvɔ̃ aɖeke mele woƒe ŋkuwo me o.
2 For he flattereth himself in his own eyes [too much] to find out his iniquity to hate it.
Elabena le eya ŋutɔ ŋkume, wòvivi nu me na eɖokui ale gbegbe be mete ŋu kpɔ eƒe nu vɔ̃ dze sii alo wòagbe nu le egbɔ o.
3 The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, to do good.
Eƒe numenyawo vɔ̃ɖi, henye beble sɔŋ, eye wòdzudzɔ nuwɔwɔ ɖe nunya me kple nu nyui wɔwɔ.
4 He deviseth wickedness upon his couch; he placeth himself on a way that is not good; evil he despiseth not.
Eɖoa nu vɔ̃ɖi le eƒe aba dzi, etsɔa eɖokui dea asi na nu si nye vɔ̃, eye megbea nu si nye nu gbegblẽ o.
5 O Lord, into the heavens reacheth thy kindness, thy faithfulness even into the skies.
O! Yehowa, wò lɔlɔ̃ kɔ ɖatɔ dziƒowo ke, eye wò nuteƒewɔwɔ tɔ dziŋgɔli ke.
6 Thy righteousness is like the mountains of God; thy acts of justice like the great deep: man and beast dost thou ever help, O Lord.
Wò dzɔdzɔenyenye le abe to gãwo ene, eye wò afiatsotso le abe tɔ goglo ene. O! Yehowa, èkpɔa amegbetɔwo kple lãwo siaa ta.
7 How precious is thy kindness, O God! And the children of men that seek shelter under the shadow of thy wings, —
Wò lɔlɔ̃ si meʋãna o la xɔ asi loo! Ame siwo ŋuti bubu le kple ame siwo ŋuti mele o, le amegbetɔviwo dome siaa kpɔa sitsoƒe le wò aʋala ƒe vɔvɔli te.
8 These will be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and of the stream of thy delights wilt thou give them to drink.
Wò aƒemenu gbogboawo nye nuɖuɖu na wo, eye nènaa tsi wo wonona tso wò dzidzɔtɔsisi la me.
9 For with thee is the source of life: in thy light shall we see light.
Elabena gbɔwòe agbe ƒe tsitsetse la le, eye wò kekeli mee míekpɔa kekeli le.
10 Draw down continuously thy kindness unto those that acknowledge thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.
Yi edzi nàɖe wò lɔlɔ̃ afia ame siwo nya wò, eye nàɖe wò dzɔdzɔenyenye afia ame siwo ƒe dzi to mɔ ɖeka.
11 Let not come against me the foot of pride, and let not the hand of the wicked chase me off.
Dadalawo megaɖo afɔ dzinye, alo ame vɔ̃ɖiwo ƒe asi nanyam o.
12 There are fallen the workers of wickedness: they are thrust down, and shall not be able to rise.
Kpɔ ale si nu vɔ̃ɖi wɔlawo dze anyi ɖe anyigbae ɖa; wotutu wo ƒu anyi, eye womete ŋu fɔ o!
