Psalms 35
1 “Of David.” Contend, O Lord, with those that contend with me: fight against those that fight against me.
Psalm Dawidowy. Rozpieraj się, Panie! z tymi, którzy się ze mną spierają; a walcz przeciwko tym, którzy walczą przeciwko mnie.
2 Take hold of shield and buckler, and rise up for my help.
Porwij pukierz i tarczę, a powstań na ratunek mój.
3 And draw out the spear, and step in against my pursuers; say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.
Dobądź włóczni, a staw się na drodze przeciwko tym, którzy mię prześladują. Rzeczże duszy mojej: Jam jest zbawieniem twojem.
4 Let those be put to shame and be confounded that seek after my life: let those be turned backward and be made to blush, that devise unhappiness for me.
Niech będą pohańbieni i zawstydzeni, którzy szukają duszy mojej; niech tył podadzą, i niech będą zawstydzeni, którzy mi źle myślą.
5 Let them be as chaff before the wind; and may the angel of the Lord cast them forth.
Niech będą jako plewy przed wiatrem, a Anioł Pański niechaj ich rozproszy.
6 May their way be dark and slippery: and may the angel of the Lord pursue them.
Niech będzie droga ich ciemna i śliska, Anioł Pański niech ich goni.
7 For without cause have they hidden for me their net in a pit, without cause have they dug [pit-falls] against my life.
Albowiem bez przyczyny zastawili na mię w dole sieci swoje, i bez przyczyny ukopali dół duszy mojej.
8 May then destruction come upon each of them at unawares; and may his net that he hath hidden catch himself: in [utter] destruction let him fall therein.
Niechaj na nich przyjdzie spustoszenie, którego się nie spodziewali; a sieć ich, którą zastawili, niech ich ułowi na zginienie, a niech w nią wpadną.
9 But my soul shall exult in the Lord: she shall be glad through his salvation.
Ale dusza moja niech się rozraduje w Panu, niech się rozweseli w zbawieniu jego.
10 All my bones will say, Lord, who is like unto thee, who deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that robbeth him?
Tedy wszystkie kości moje rzeką: Panie! któż podobny tobie? który wyrywasz utrapionego od mocniejszego nadeń, a nędznego i ubogiego od drapieżcy jego.
11 There rise up witnesses of violence; concerning what I know not they question me.
Powstawają świadkowie fałszywi, a o czem nie wiem, pytają mię.
12 They recompense me with evil in place of good, [bringing] bereavement on my soul.
Oddawają mi złem za dobre, chcąc mię pozbawić duszy mojej,
13 But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I afflicted with fasting my soul, and my prayer returned into my own bosom.
Chociażem się ja w wór obłóczył, gdy oni chorowali; trapiłem postem duszę moję, i modliłem się często sam u siebie za nimi.
14 As though he had been to me a friend or a brother did I walk about: as one that mourneth for a mother did I sorrowfully bend down my head.
Jako do przyjaciela, jako do brata mego, ustawiczniem chadzał; poniżałem się jako ten, który się smuci, chodząc po matce w żałobie.
15 But in my downfall they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together; there gathered themselves together against me abject wretches, whom I knew not; they did tear me, and ceased not:
Lecz oni, gdym ja chorował, weselili się, i zbierali się; zbierali się przeciwko mnie, jakoby byli dla mnie utrapieni, czegom ja nie spostrzegł; szczypali mię, a nie milczeli.
16 With hypocritical babbling mockers, they gnashed upon me with their teeth.
Z obłudnikami, z naśmiewcami, z pochlebcami zgrzytali na mię zębami swemi.
17 O Lord, how long wilt thou look on? rescue my soul from their destructions, from the young lions my solitary spirit.
Panie! długoż na to patrzeć będziesz? wyrwijże duszę moję od zguby ich, od lwiąt jedynaczkę moję.
18 I will thank thee in the great assembly: among a mighty people will I praise thee.
Będę cię wysławiał w zgromadzeniu wielkiem; między ludem wielkim będę cię chwalił.
19 Let not rejoice over me those that are my enemies wrongfully: [nor] let those who hate me without cause wink with the eye.
Niech się nie weselą ze mnie, którzy mi są nieprzyjaciółmi bez przyczyny; którzy mię mają w nienawiści niesłusznie, niech nie mrugają okiem.
20 For they speak not peace; but against the quiet in the land they devise deceitful words.
Albowiem nie mówią o pokoju; ale przeciwko spokojnym na ziemi zdradliwe słowa zmyślają.
21 Yea, they opened wide against me their mouth; they said, Aha, aha, our eye hath seen it.
Owszem, rozdzierają na mię gębę swą, mówiąc: Ehej! ehej! widzić to oko nasze.
22 Thou hast seen it, O Lord! remain not silent: O Lord, be not far from me.
Widzisz to, Panie! nie milczże Panie! nie oddalaj się odemnie.
23 Arouse thyself, and awake to do me justice, my God and my Lord, unto my cause.
Obudźże się, a ocuć dla sądu mego, Boże mój i Panie mój! dla sprawy mojej.
24 Judge me according to thy righteousness, O Lord my God; and let them not rejoice over me.
Sądź mnie według sprawiedliwości twojej, Panie Boże mój! a niech się nie weselą nademną.
25 Let them not say in their heart, Aha, [this is the wish of] our soul: let them not say, We have swallowed him up.
Niech nie mówią w sercu swojem: Ehej, duszo masza! niech nie mówią: Pożarliśmy go.
26 Let those be made ashamed and put to the blush together that rejoice at my mishap; let them be clothed with shame and confusion that magnify themselves above me.
Niechajże będą pohańbieni, i zawstydzeni wszyscy weselący się ze złego mego; niech będą obleczeni w hańbę, i w sromotę, którzy się chlubią przeciwko mnie.
27 Let those shout, and rejoice, that desire my righteousness: yea, let them say continually, Great is the Lord, who desireth the welfare of his servant.
Ale ci, którzy się kochają w sprawiedliwości mojej, niech śpiewają i radują się, a niech mówią ustawicznie: Niech będzie uwielbiony Pan, który życzy pokoju słudze swemu.
28 And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness, all the day of thy praise.
A język mój będzie opowiadał sprawiedliwość twoję, i na każdy dzień chwałę twoję.
