Psalms 35
1 “Of David.” Contend, O Lord, with those that contend with me: fight against those that fight against me.
ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. യഹോവേ, എന്നോട് മത്സരിക്കുന്നവരോട് അങ്ങ് മത്സരിക്കണമേ; എന്നോടു യുദ്ധംചെയ്യുന്നവരോട് അങ്ങ് യുദ്ധംചെയ്യണമേ.
2 Take hold of shield and buckler, and rise up for my help.
പരിചയും പലകയും എടുക്കണമേ; അങ്ങ് എഴുന്നേറ്റ് എന്റെ സഹായത്തിനായി വരണമേ.
3 And draw out the spear, and step in against my pursuers; say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.
എന്നെ പിൻതുടരുന്നവർക്കെതിരേ കുന്തവും വേലും വീശണമേ. “അങ്ങാണ് എന്റെ രക്ഷയെന്ന്,” എന്നോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്യണമേ.
4 Let those be put to shame and be confounded that seek after my life: let those be turned backward and be made to blush, that devise unhappiness for me.
എന്റെ ജീവൻ അപായപ്പെടുത്താൻ നോക്കുന്നവർ ലജ്ജിച്ച് അപമാനിതരായിത്തീരട്ടെ; എന്റെ നാശത്തിനായി പദ്ധതിയാവിഷ്കരിക്കുന്നവർ നിരാശരായി പിന്തിരിയട്ടെ.
5 Let them be as chaff before the wind; and may the angel of the Lord cast them forth.
യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതൻ അവരെ തുരത്തിയോടിക്കുന്നതിനാൽ അവർ കാറ്റിൽ പാറിപ്പോകുന്ന പതിരുപോലെയാകട്ടെ.
6 May their way be dark and slippery: and may the angel of the Lord pursue them.
യഹോവയുടെ ദൂതൻ അവരെ പിൻതുടരുന്നതിനാൽ അവരുടെ പാതകൾ അന്ധകാരവും വഴുവഴുപ്പും ഉള്ളതാകട്ടെ.
7 For without cause have they hidden for me their net in a pit, without cause have they dug [pit-falls] against my life.
അകാരണമായി അവരെനിക്കു വല വിരിക്കുകയും ഒരു ചതിക്കുഴി കുഴിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുകയാണല്ലോ,
8 May then destruction come upon each of them at unawares; and may his net that he hath hidden catch himself: in [utter] destruction let him fall therein.
അവർക്കു ശീഘ്രനാശം വന്നുഭവിക്കട്ടെ— അവർ ഒരുക്കിവെച്ച വലയിൽ അവർതന്നെ കുടുങ്ങട്ടെ, അവർ എനിക്കുവേണ്ടി കുഴിച്ച കുഴിയിലേക്ക് അവർതന്നെ നിപതിക്കട്ടെ.
9 But my soul shall exult in the Lord: she shall be glad through his salvation.
അപ്പോൾ എന്റെ പ്രാണൻ യഹോവയിൽ ആനന്ദിക്കട്ടെ അവിടത്തെ രക്ഷയിൽ ഘോഷിച്ചുല്ലസിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യട്ടെ.
10 All my bones will say, Lord, who is like unto thee, who deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that robbeth him?
“യഹോവേ, അങ്ങയെപ്പോലെ ആരുള്ളൂ? എന്ന് എന്റെ എല്ലാ അസ്ഥികളും പ്രസ്താവിക്കും. അവിടന്നു സാധുക്കളെ അവരുടെ ശക്തിക്ക് അതീതരായവരിൽനിന്ന് മോചിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; കൊള്ളചെയ്യുന്നവരുടെ കൈയിൽനിന്ന് എളിയവരെയും ദരിദ്രരെയും.”
11 There rise up witnesses of violence; concerning what I know not they question me.
നിഷ്കരുണരായ സാക്ഷികൾ എനിക്കെതിരേ മുന്നോട്ടുവരുന്നു; എനിക്കൊരറിവുമില്ലാത്ത വസ്തുതകളെപ്പറ്റി എന്നെ ചോദ്യംചെയ്യുന്നു.
12 They recompense me with evil in place of good, [bringing] bereavement on my soul.
അവർ, ഞാൻ ചെയ്ത നന്മയ്ക്കു പകരമായി തിന്മചെയ്യുന്നു എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ ഉറ്റവർ മരിച്ച ഒരുവനെപ്പോലെ ആക്കുന്നു.
13 But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I afflicted with fasting my soul, and my prayer returned into my own bosom.
എന്നിട്ടും അവർ രോഗാതുരരായിരുന്നപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ ചാക്കുശീല ധരിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് നമ്രമാനസനായി അവർക്കുവേണ്ടി ഉപവസിച്ചു. എന്റെ പ്രാർഥന ഉത്തരംനേടാതെ എന്റെ അടുത്തേക്കുതന്നെ മടങ്ങിവന്നപ്പോൾ,
14 As though he had been to me a friend or a brother did I walk about: as one that mourneth for a mother did I sorrowfully bend down my head.
എന്റെ സ്നേഹിതനോ സഹോദരനോവേണ്ടി എന്നതുപോലെ ഞാൻ വിലപിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു. എന്റെ മാതാവിനുവേണ്ടി വിലപിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ദുഃഖത്താൽ ഞാൻ എന്റെ ശിരസ്സു നമിച്ചു.
15 But in my downfall they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together; there gathered themselves together against me abject wretches, whom I knew not; they did tear me, and ceased not:
എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ ഇടറിവീണപ്പോൾ അവർ ഒത്തുചേർന്ന് ആഹ്ലാദിച്ചു; എന്റെ പ്രതിയോഗികൾ ഞാൻ അറിയാതെ എനിക്കെതിരേ സംഘംചേർന്നു. ഇടവേളകളില്ലാതെ അവർ എന്നെ ദുഷിച്ചു.
16 With hypocritical babbling mockers, they gnashed upon me with their teeth.
അഭക്തരെപ്പോലെ അവർ എന്നെ ക്രൂരമായി പരിഹസിച്ചു; അവർ എനിക്കെതിരേ പല്ലുകടിച്ചു.
17 O Lord, how long wilt thou look on? rescue my soul from their destructions, from the young lions my solitary spirit.
കർത്താവേ, എത്രനാൾ അങ്ങ് നോക്കിനിൽക്കും? അവരുടെ ഭീകരതയാർന്ന ആക്രമണങ്ങളിൽനിന്ന് എന്നെ മോചിപ്പിക്കണമേ, ഈ സിംഹക്കുട്ടികളിൽനിന്ന് എന്റെ ജീവനെയും.
18 I will thank thee in the great assembly: among a mighty people will I praise thee.
ഞാൻ മഹാസഭയിൽ അങ്ങേക്ക് നന്ദിയർപ്പിക്കും; ജനസാഗരമധ്യേ ഞാൻ അങ്ങയെ വാഴ്ത്തും.
19 Let not rejoice over me those that are my enemies wrongfully: [nor] let those who hate me without cause wink with the eye.
അകാരണമായി എന്നോടു ശത്രുതപുലർത്തുന്നവർ എന്റെ പേരിൽ ആനന്ദിക്കാതിരിക്കട്ടെ; അകാരണമായി എന്നെ വെറുക്കുന്നവർക്ക് എന്നെ ഉപഹസിക്കാൻ ഇടവരാതിരിക്കട്ടെ.
20 For they speak not peace; but against the quiet in the land they devise deceitful words.
അവർ സമാധാനപരമായി സംസാരിക്കുന്നില്ല, ദേശത്തു ശാന്തമായി ജീവിക്കുന്നവർക്കെതിരേ അവർ വ്യാജ ആരോപണങ്ങൾ ഉന്നയിക്കുന്നു.
21 Yea, they opened wide against me their mouth; they said, Aha, aha, our eye hath seen it.
അവർ എന്റെനേരേ, “ആഹാ! ആഹാ!” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞ് പരിഹസിക്കുന്നു “ഞങ്ങളതു സ്വന്തം കണ്ണാൽ കണ്ടു,” എന്നും പറയുന്നു.
22 Thou hast seen it, O Lord! remain not silent: O Lord, be not far from me.
യഹോവേ, അങ്ങ് ഇതു കണ്ടല്ലോ; നിശ്ശബ്ദനായിരിക്കരുതേ. കർത്താവേ, എന്നിൽനിന്ന് അകന്നിരിക്കുകയുമരുതേ.
23 Arouse thyself, and awake to do me justice, my God and my Lord, unto my cause.
ഉണരണമേ, എനിക്കു പ്രതിരോധം തീർക്കാൻ എഴുന്നേൽക്കണമേ! എന്റെ ദൈവമായ കർത്താവേ, എനിക്കുവേണ്ടി വാദിക്കണമേ.
24 Judge me according to thy righteousness, O Lord my God; and let them not rejoice over me.
എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, അവിടത്തെ നീതിക്കനുസൃതമായി എന്നെ കുറ്റവിമുക്തനാക്കണമേ; അവർ എന്റെമേൽ ആനന്ദിക്കാതിരിക്കട്ടെ.
25 Let them not say in their heart, Aha, [this is the wish of] our soul: let them not say, We have swallowed him up.
“ആഹാ, ഞങ്ങളുടെ ചിരകാലാഭിലാഷം നിറവേറി!” എന്ന് അവർ ചിന്തിക്കാതിരിക്കട്ടെ, “ഞങ്ങൾ അവനെ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളഞ്ഞു,” എന്നും അവർ വീമ്പിളക്കാതിരിക്കട്ടെ.
26 Let those be made ashamed and put to the blush together that rejoice at my mishap; let them be clothed with shame and confusion that magnify themselves above me.
എന്റെ കഷ്ടതയിൽ ആർത്തട്ടഹസിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവരും ലജ്ജിതരും പരിഭ്രാന്തരും ആയിത്തീരട്ടെ; എനിക്കെതിരേ തന്നെത്താൻ ഉയർത്തുന്നവർ ലജ്ജയിലും അപമാനത്തിലും മുഴുകട്ടെ.
27 Let those shout, and rejoice, that desire my righteousness: yea, let them say continually, Great is the Lord, who desireth the welfare of his servant.
എനിക്കു ലഭ്യമാകുന്ന നീതിയിൽ ആനന്ദിക്കുന്നവർ ആനന്ദത്തോടെ ആർത്തുഘോഷിക്കട്ടെ; “തന്റെ ദാസന്റെ നന്മയിൽ ആഹ്ലാദിക്കുന്നവർ, യഹോവ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെടുമാറാകട്ടെ,” എന്ന് എപ്പോഴും പറയട്ടെ.
28 And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness, all the day of thy praise.
എന്റെ നാവ് അവിടത്തെ നീതിയെപ്പറ്റി ഘോഷിക്കും, ദിവസംമുഴുവനും അവിടത്തെ സ്തുതിയും.
