Psalms 34
1 “By David, when he disguised his reason before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed.” I will bless the Lord at all times: continually shall his praise be in my mouth.
௧தாவீதின் வேஷத்தைக் கண்டு அபிமெலேக்கு அவனைத் துரத்தியபோது தாவீது பாடிய பாடல். யெகோவாவுக்கு நான் எப்போதும் நன்றி செலுத்துவேன்; அவர் துதி எப்போதும் என்னுடைய வாயில் இருக்கும்.
2 My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear it, and be rejoiced.
௨யெகோவாவுக்குள் என்னுடைய ஆத்துமா மேன்மைபாராட்டும்; ஒடுக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் அதைக்கேட்டு மகிழுவார்கள்.
3 Oh magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.
௩என்னோடே கூடக் யெகோவாவை மகிமைப்படுத்துங்கள்; நாம் ஒருமித்து அவர் நாமத்தை உயர்த்துவோமாக.
4 I sought the Lord, and he answered me, and from all that I dreaded did he deliver me.
௪நான் யெகோவாவை தேடினேன், அவர் எனக்குச் செவிகொடுத்து, என்னுடைய எல்லாப் பயத்திற்கும் என்னை நீங்கலாக்கிவிட்டார்.
5 They [who] looked unto him, were indeed enlightened, and their faces were not put to the blush.
௫அவர்கள் அவரை நோக்கிப்பார்த்துப் பிரகாசமடைந்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் முகங்கள் வெட்கப்படவில்லை.
6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and out of all his distresses did he save him.
௬இந்த ஏழை கூப்பிட்டான், யெகோவா கேட்டு, அவனை அவன் பிரச்சனைகளுக்கெல்லாம் நீங்கலாக்கி காப்பாற்றினார்.
7 The angel of the Lord encampeth round about those who fear him, and delivereth them.
௭யெகோவாவுடைய தூதன் அவருக்குப் பயந்தவர்களைச் சுற்றி முகாமிட்டு அவர்களை விடுவிக்கிறார்.
8 Experience and see that the Lord is good: happy is the man that trusteth in him.
௮யெகோவா நல்லவர் என்பதை ருசித்துப்பாருங்கள்; அவர்மேல் நம்பிக்கையாக இருக்கிற மனிதன் பாக்கியவான்.
9 Oh fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to those who fear him.
௯யெகோவாவுடைய பரிசுத்தவான்களே, அவருக்குப் பயந்திருங்கள்; அவருக்குப் பயந்தவர்களுக்குக் குறைவில்லை.
10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger; but those who seek the Lord shall not want any good.
௧0சிங்கக்குட்டிகள் தாழ்ச்சியடைந்து பட்டினியாக இருக்கும்; யெகோவாவை தேடுகிறவர்களுக்கோ ஒரு நன்மையும் குறையாது.
11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me: the fear of the Lord will I teach you.
௧௧பிள்ளைகளே, வந்து எனக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள்; யெகோவாவுக்குப் பயப்படுதலை உங்களுக்குப் போதிப்பேன்.
12 Who is the man that desireth life, loveth [many] days, that he may see happiness?
௧௨நன்மையைக் காணும்படி, வாழ்க்கையை விரும்பி, நீடித்த நாட்களை நேசிக்கிற மனிதன் யார்?
13 Guard thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking deceit.
௧௩உன் நாவை தீங்கிற்கும், உன்னுடைய உதடுகளை பொய் வார்த்தைகளுக்கும் விலக்கிக் காத்துக்கொள்.
14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
௧௪தீமையை விட்டு விலகி, நன்மை செய்; சமாதானத்தைத் தேடி, அதைத் பின்தொடர்ந்துகொள்.
15 The eyes of the Lord are directed unto the righteous, and his ears unto their cry.
௧௫யெகோவாவுடைய கண்கள் நீதிமான்கள்மேல் நோக்கமாக இருக்கிறது; அவருடைய காதுகள் அவர்கள் கூப்பிடுதலுக்குத் திறந்திருக்கிறது.
16 [But] the anger of the Lord is against those that do evil, to cut off from the earth their remembrance.
௧௬தீமைசெய்கிறவர்களுடைய பெயரைப் பூமியில் இல்லாமல் போகச்செய்ய, யெகோவாவுடைய முகம் அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாக இருக்கிறது.
17 Those cry, and the Lord heareth, and from all their distresses he delivereth them.
௧௭நீதிமான்கள் கூப்பிடும்போது யெகோவா கேட்டு, அவர்களை அவர்களுடைய எல்லா உபத்திரவங்களுக்கும் நீங்கலாக்கிவிடுகிறார்.
18 The Lord is nigh unto those that are broken-hearted: and he saveth those that are of a contrite spirit.
௧௮உடைந்த இருதயமுள்ளவர்களுக்குக் யெகோவா அருகில் இருந்து, நொறுக்கப்பட்ட ஆவியுள்ளவர்களை காப்பாற்றுகிறார்.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but out of them all the Lord ever delivereth him.
௧௯நீதிமானுக்கு வரும் துன்பங்கள் அநேகமாக இருக்கும், யெகோவா அவைகள் எல்லாவற்றிலும் இருந்து அவனை விடுவிப்பார்.
20 He watcheth all his bones: not one of them is broken.
௨0அவனுடைய எலும்புகளையெல்லாம் காப்பாற்றுகிறார்; அவைகளில் ஒன்றும் முறிக்கப்படுவதில்லை.
21 The evil will slay the wicked: and they who hate the righteous shall incur guiltiness.
௨௧தீமை துன்மார்க்கனைக் கொல்லும்; நீதிமானைப் பகைக்கிறவர்கள் குற்றவாளிகளாவார்கள்.
22 The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and all that trust in him shall not incur guiltiness.
௨௨யெகோவா தம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரர்களின் ஆத்துமாவை மீட்டுக்கொள்ளுகிறார்; அவரை நம்புகிற ஒருவன்மேலும் குற்றஞ்சுமராது.
