Psalms 34
1 “By David, when he disguised his reason before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed.” I will bless the Lord at all times: continually shall his praise be in my mouth.
Psalm Dawidowy, gdy sobie odmienił postawę przed Abimelechem, od którego będąc wygnany, odszedł. Będę błogosławił Pana na każdy czas; zawżdy będzie chwała jego w ustach moich.
2 My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear it, and be rejoiced.
W Panu się chlubić będzie dusza moja, co usłyszawszy pokorni rozweselą się.
3 Oh magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.
Wielbijcie Pana ze mną, a wywyższajmy imię jego społecznie.
4 I sought the Lord, and he answered me, and from all that I dreaded did he deliver me.
Bom szukał Pana, i wysłuchał mię, a ze wszystkich strachów moich wyrwał mię.
5 They [who] looked unto him, were indeed enlightened, and their faces were not put to the blush.
Którzy nań spoglądają, a zbiegają się do niego, oblicza ich nie będą zawstydzone.
6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and out of all his distresses did he save him.
Ten chudzina wołał, a Pan wysłuchał, i ze wszystkich ucisków jego wybawił go.
7 The angel of the Lord encampeth round about those who fear him, and delivereth them.
Zatacza obóz Anioł Pański około tych, którzy się go boją, i wyrywa ich.
8 Experience and see that the Lord is good: happy is the man that trusteth in him.
Skosztujcież, a obaczcie, jako jest dobry Pan: błogosławiony człowiek, który w nim ufa.
9 Oh fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to those who fear him.
Bójcie się Pana święci jego; bo niemasz niedostatku bojącym się go.
10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger; but those who seek the Lord shall not want any good.
Lwięta niedostatek cierpią i głód; lecz szukającym Pana nie będzie schodziło na wszelkiem dobrem.
11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me: the fear of the Lord will I teach you.
Pójdźcież synowie, słuchajcie mię; bojaźni Pańskiej was nauczę.
12 Who is the man that desireth life, loveth [many] days, that he may see happiness?
Któż jest, co chce długo żyć, a miłuje dni, aby widział dobra?
13 Guard thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking deceit.
Strzeż języka twego od złego, a warg twoich, aby nie mówiły zdrady.
14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
Odwróć się od złego, a czyń dobrze; szukaj pokoju, a ścigaj go.
15 The eyes of the Lord are directed unto the righteous, and his ears unto their cry.
Oczy Pańskie otworzone są na sprawiedliwych, a uszy jego na wołanie ich;
16 [But] the anger of the Lord is against those that do evil, to cut off from the earth their remembrance.
Ale oblicze Pańskie przeciwko tym, którzy broją złości, aby wykorzenił z ziemi pamiątkę ich.
17 Those cry, and the Lord heareth, and from all their distresses he delivereth them.
Wołają sprawiedliwi, a Pan ich wysłuchiwa, i ze wszystkich trudności ich wybawia ich.
18 The Lord is nigh unto those that are broken-hearted: and he saveth those that are of a contrite spirit.
Bliski jest Pan tym, którzy są skruszonego serca, a utrapionych w duchu zachowuje.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but out of them all the Lord ever delivereth him.
Wiele złego przychodzi na sprawiedliwego; ale z tego wszystkiego wyrywa go Pan.
20 He watcheth all his bones: not one of them is broken.
On strzeże wszystkich kości jego, tak, iż i jedna z nich nie skruszy się.
21 The evil will slay the wicked: and they who hate the righteous shall incur guiltiness.
Zabije złość niepobożnego, a którzy w nienawiści mają sprawiedliwego, będą spustoszeni;
22 The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and all that trust in him shall not incur guiltiness.
Ale Pan odkupi duszę sług swoich, a nie będą spustoszeni wszyscy, którzy w nim ufają.
