< Psalms 33 >
1 Be joyful, O ye righteous, in the Lord; [for] unto the righteous praise is comely.
Mirebeha am’Iehovà, ry vantañeo, toe mañeva o vañoñeo ty mandrenge.
2 Give thanks unto the Lord with the harp: with the ten-stringed psaltery do ye sing [praises] unto him.
Andriaño ami’ty marovany t’Iehovà, rengeo an-tsabo, mititiha folo-taly.
3 Sing unto him a new song; play beautifully amidst a triumphant shout.
Isabò sabo vao; ititiho am-pahimbañañe, am-pipoñafan-drebeke.
4 For the word of the Lord is upright; and all his works [are done] in truth.
Mahity ty tsara’ Iehovà, hene am-pigahiñañe o fitoloña’eo
5 He loveth righteousness and justice: the earth is full of the kindness of the Lord.
No’e ty havantañañe naho ty hatò: àtseke ty fiferenaiña’ Iehovà’ ty tane toy.
6 By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and by the breath of his mouth all their host.
Ty tsara’ Iehovà ro nanoeñe i likerañey; ty kofom-palie’e i valobohò’ey.
7 He gathereth together like heaps the waters of the sea: he layeth up in store-houses the depths [of the sea].
Atonto’e am-botry o ranon-driakeo; ahaja’e an-driha ao o lalekeo.
8 Let all the earth fear the Lord: of him stand in awe all the inhabitants of the world.
Mirevendreveña am’ Iehovà ry tane toy; kila mañeveña ama’e ry mpimone’ ty voatse toy.
9 For he spoke, and it came into being: he commanded, and it stood fast.
Tsinara’e le nifonitse; nandily, vaho nijadoñe.
10 The Lord frustrateth the resolves of the nations: he bringeth to nought the thoughts of the people.
Koahe’ Iehovà ty fikinia’ o fifeheañeo; afofi’e ty fikilila’ ondatio;
11 The counsel of the Lord will stand for ever, the thoughts of his heart from generation to generation.
Mijadoñe nainai’e ty famerea’ Iehovà, pak’an-tariran-tariratse o fisafirin’ arofo’e.
12 Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he hath chosen for himself as a heritage.
Haha ty fifeheañe naho Iehovà ro Andrianañahare’e, ondaty jinobo’e ho lova’eo.
13 The Lord looketh from heaven; he seeth all the sons of men.
Mivazòho boak’ an-dikerañe añe t’Iehovà; oni’e iaby o ana’ondatio.
14 From the place of his habitation he directeth his view upon all the inhabitants of the earth;
Jilove’e boak’ añ’akiba’e ao ze hene mpimoneñ’ an-tane atoy;
15 He fashioneth their hearts altogether; he hath regard to all their works.
I mpitsene ty arofo’ iareo iaby, sindre aharofoana’e ty fitoloña’e.
16 The king is not saved by the multitude of an army: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.
Tsy ty fitozantoza’ i màroy ty maharombake i mpanjakay; tsy i haozara’e ra’elahiy ty mahavotsotse ty fanalolahy.
17 Vain is the horse for victory: nor shall he deliver any by the greatness of his strength.
Tsy jefa’e t’ie miato aman-tsoavalan’aly ho fiarovañe; tsy ty hara’elahin-kafatrara’e ty hahafipolitira’e.
18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon those that fear him, upon those that hope for his kindness.
Inao, te itoliham-pihaino’ Iehovà o mañeveñe ama’eo, o mitamà i fiferenaiña’eio,
19 To deliver from death their soul, and to keep them alive in famine.
ho votsora’e ty fiai’ iareo tsy hihomake, vaho ho velome’e an-tsan-kerè.
20 Our soul waiteth for the Lord: our help and our shield is he.
Mandiñe Iehovà o tron-tikañeo; Ie ty mpañimba antika naho ty fikalan-defon-tika.
21 For in him shall our heart rejoice: because in his holy name have we trusted.
Ama’e ty firebehan’ arofon-tika, fiatoan-tika i tahina’e masiñey.
22 Let thy kindness, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in thee.
Ho ama’ay abey ty fiferenaiña’o ry Iehovà, fa mpitamà Azo.
