Psalms 33
1 Be joyful, O ye righteous, in the Lord; [for] unto the righteous praise is comely.
Dziedājiet priecīgi Tam Kungam, jūs taisnie; tiem sirds skaidriem pieklājās teikšana.
2 Give thanks unto the Lord with the harp: with the ten-stringed psaltery do ye sing [praises] unto him.
Pateiciet Tam Kungam ar koklēm un dziedājiet Viņam ar desmit stīgu spēlēm.
3 Sing unto him a new song; play beautifully amidst a triumphant shout.
Dziedājiet Viņam jaunu dziesmu, skandinājiet jauki ar bazūņu skaņu.
4 For the word of the Lord is upright; and all his works [are done] in truth.
Jo Tā Kunga vārds ir taisns, un viss Viņa darbs ir pastāvīgs.
5 He loveth righteousness and justice: the earth is full of the kindness of the Lord.
Viņš mīļo taisnību un tiesu; zeme ir pilna Tā Kunga žēlastības.
6 By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and by the breath of his mouth all their host.
Caur Tā Kunga vārdu debesis darītas, un viss viņu spēks caur Viņa mutes garu.
7 He gathereth together like heaps the waters of the sea: he layeth up in store-houses the depths [of the sea].
Viņš sakrāj jūras ūdeni kā kopu, un liek dziļumus slepenībā.
8 Let all the earth fear the Lord: of him stand in awe all the inhabitants of the world.
Bīstaties no Tā Kunga, visa pasaule, baiļojaties priekš Viņa, visi zemes iedzīvotāji.
9 For he spoke, and it came into being: he commanded, and it stood fast.
Kad Viņš runā, tad notiek, kad Viņš pavēl, tad stāv.
10 The Lord frustrateth the resolves of the nations: he bringeth to nought the thoughts of the people.
Tas Kungs iznīcina tautu padomu, Viņš salauž ļaužu domas.
11 The counsel of the Lord will stand for ever, the thoughts of his heart from generation to generation.
Tā Kunga padoms pastāv mūžīgi, Viņa sirds domas uz radu radiem.
12 Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he hath chosen for himself as a heritage.
Svētīga tā tauta, kam Tas Kungs ir par Dievu, tie ļaudis, ko Viņš Sev izredzējis par īpašumu.
13 The Lord looketh from heaven; he seeth all the sons of men.
Tas Kungs skatās no debesīm un uzlūko visus cilvēku bērnus.
14 From the place of his habitation he directeth his view upon all the inhabitants of the earth;
Viņš raugās no Sava stiprā krēsla uz visiem, kas dzīvo virs zemes.
15 He fashioneth their hearts altogether; he hath regard to all their works.
Viņš sataisa visas viņu sirdis, Viņš liek vērā visus viņu darbus.
16 The king is not saved by the multitude of an army: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.
Ķēniņam nepalīdz viņa lielais spēks, vareno neizglābs viņa lielais stiprums.
17 Vain is the horse for victory: nor shall he deliver any by the greatness of his strength.
Arī zirgi nevar palīdzēt, un viņu lielais spēks nevar izglābt.
18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon those that fear him, upon those that hope for his kindness.
Redzi, Tā Kunga acs uzlūko tos, kas Viņu bīstas, kas cerē uz Viņa žēlastību.
19 To deliver from death their soul, and to keep them alive in famine.
Ka Tas viņu dvēseli izpestī no nāves, un bada laikā tos uztur dzīvus.
20 Our soul waiteth for the Lord: our help and our shield is he.
Mūsu dvēsele gaida uz To Kungu; Viņš mums ir par palīgu un par priekšturamām bruņām.
21 For in him shall our heart rejoice: because in his holy name have we trusted.
Jo mūsu sirds priecājās iekš Viņa, un mēs paļaujamies uz Viņa svēto vārdu.
22 Let thy kindness, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in thee.
Lai, ak Kungs, Tava žēlastība pār mums paliek, itin kā mēs uz Tevi cerējam.
