< Psalms 32 >
1 “Of David: a Maskil.” Happy is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
Ti Dafidi. Maskili. Ìbùkún ni fún àwọn tí a dárí ìrékọjá wọn jì, tí a sì bo ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ wọn mọ́lẹ̀.
2 Happy is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
Ìbùkún ni fún ọkùnrin náà ẹni tí Olúwa kò ka ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ rẹ̀ sí i lọ́rùn àti nínú ẹ̀mí ẹni tí kò sí ẹ̀tàn.
3 When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my crying all the day.
Nígbà tí mo dákẹ́, egungun mi di gbígbó dànù nípa ìkérora mi ní gbogbo ọjọ́.
4 For by day and night lay thy hand heavily upon me: my [life's] moisture hath been changed through the droughts of summer. (Selah)
Nítorí pé ni ọ̀sán àti ní òru ọwọ́ rẹ̀ wúwo sí mi lára; agbára mi gbẹ tán gẹ́gẹ́ bí ooru ẹ̀ẹ̀rùn. (Sela)
5 My sin do I ever acknowledge unto thee, and my iniquity have I not covered up. I said, I will make confession because of my transgressions unto the Lord: and thou truly forgavest the iniquity of my sin. (Selah)
Èmi jẹ́wọ́ ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ mi sí ọ àti pé èmi kò sì fi àìṣòdodo mi pamọ́. Èmi wí pé, “Èmi yóò jẹ́wọ́ ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ mi fún Olúwa,” ìwọ sì dárí ẹ̀bi ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ mi jì mí. (Sela)
6 For this shall every pious one pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely [then] when great waters overflow, they shall never reach unto him.
Nítorí náà jẹ́ kí gbogbo àwọn olódodo máa gbà àdúrà sí ọ ní ìgbà tí a lè rí ọ; nítòótọ́ nígbà tí ìṣàn omi ńlá bá ru sókè, wọn kì yóò lè dé ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ̀.
7 Thou art my hiding-place; from distress wilt thou preserve me; with songs of deliverance wilt thou encompass me. (Selah)
Ìwọ ni ibi ìpamọ́ mi; ìwọ yóò pa mí mọ́ kúrò nínú ìyọnu; ìwọ yóò fi orin ìgbàlà yí mi ka. (Sela)
8 I will instruct thee and I will teach thee concerning the way which thou oughtest to go: I will counsel thee with my eye.
Èmi yóò kọ́ ọ, èmi yóò sì fi ẹsẹ̀ rẹ lé ọ̀nà tí ìwọ yóò rìn èmi yóò máa gbà ọ́ ní ìyànjú, èmi yóò sì máa fi ojú mi tọ́ ọ.
9 Be ye not like the horse, or like the mule, who hath no understanding; who must be held in with bit and bridle, his ornament, lest he come near unto thee.
Má ṣe dàbí ẹṣin tàbí ìbáaka, tí kò ní òye ẹnu ẹni tí a gbọdọ̀ fi ìjánu bọ̀, kí wọn má ba à súnmọ́ ọ.
10 Many are the pains of the wicked; but him that trusteth in the Lord will he encompass with kindness.
Ọ̀pọ̀ ìkáàánú ní yóò wà fún ènìyàn búburú, ṣùgbọ́n ìfẹ́ Olúwa tí ó dúró ṣinṣin ni yóò yí àwọn tí ó ní ìgbẹ́kẹ̀lé nínú Olúwa ká.
11 Rejoice in the Lord, and be glad, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
Ẹ yọ̀ nínú Olúwa, kí ẹ sì ní inú dídùn, ẹ̀yìn olódodo; ẹ sì máa kọrin, gbogbo ẹ̀yìn tí àyà yín dúró ṣinṣin.
