Psalms 32

1 “Of David: a Maskil.” Happy is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു ധ്യാനസങ്കീർത്തനം. ലംഘനം ക്ഷമിച്ചും പാപം മറച്ചും കിട്ടിയ മനുഷ്യർ, അനുഗൃഹീതർ.

2 Happy is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

യഹോവ, പാപം കണക്കാക്കാതെയും ആത്മാവിൽ കപടമില്ലാതെയും ഇരിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യർ, അനുഗൃഹീതർ.

3 When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my crying all the day.

ഞാൻ എന്റെ പാപം ഏറ്റുപറയാതെ, ദിവസംമുഴുവനും ഞരങ്ങിക്കരയുകമൂലം എന്റെ അസ്ഥികൾ ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോയി.

4 For by day and night lay thy hand heavily upon me: my [life's] moisture hath been changed through the droughts of summer. (Selah)

രാവും പകലും അങ്ങയുടെ കരം എന്റെമേൽ ഭാരമായിരുന്നു; വേനൽക്കാലത്തിലെ ചൂടുകൊണ്ടെന്നപോലെ എന്റെ ബലം ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു. (സേലാ)

5 My sin do I ever acknowledge unto thee, and my iniquity have I not covered up. I said, I will make confession because of my transgressions unto the Lord: and thou truly forgavest the iniquity of my sin. (Selah)

അപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ എന്റെ പാപം അങ്ങയോട് ഏറ്റുപറഞ്ഞു എന്റെ അകൃത്യമൊന്നും മറച്ചുവെച്ചതുമില്ല. “എന്റെ കുറ്റം യഹോവയോട് ഏറ്റുപറയും,” എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോൾ എന്റെ പാപത്തിന്റെ കുറ്റം അങ്ങു ക്ഷമിച്ചുതന്നു. (സേലാ)

6 For this shall every pious one pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely [then] when great waters overflow, they shall never reach unto him.

അതുകൊണ്ട് ദൈവഭക്തരായ ഓരോരുത്തരും അവസരം നഷ്ടപ്പെടുത്താതെ അങ്ങയോടു പ്രാർഥിക്കട്ടെ; അങ്ങനെയെങ്കിൽ പ്രളയജലത്തിന്റെ ഭീകരപ്രഭാവം അവരെ എത്തിപ്പിടിക്കുകയില്ല.

7 Thou art my hiding-place; from distress wilt thou preserve me; with songs of deliverance wilt thou encompass me. (Selah)

അവിടന്ന് എന്റെ ഒളിയിടം ആകുന്നു; ക്ലേശങ്ങളിൽ അവിടന്ന് എനിക്കു സംരക്ഷണമേകുന്നു; രക്ഷയുടെ ജയഭേരിയാൽ എനിക്കു വലയം തീർക്കുന്നു. (സേലാ)

8 I will instruct thee and I will teach thee concerning the way which thou oughtest to go: I will counsel thee with my eye.

നീ ഗമിക്കേണ്ടുന്ന പാത ഏതെന്നു നിന്നെ ഉപദേശിച്ചു പഠിപ്പിക്കും; നിന്റെമേൽ ദൃഷ്ടിവെച്ച് ഞാൻ നിനക്കു ബുദ്ധിയുപദേശം നൽകും.

9 Be ye not like the horse, or like the mule, who hath no understanding; who must be held in with bit and bridle, his ornament, lest he come near unto thee.

വിവേകശൂന്യമായ കുതിരയെയോ കോവർകഴുതയെയോപോലെ നീ പെരുമാറരുത്, അവയെ വരുതിയിലാക്കാൻ കടിഞ്ഞാണും കടിയിരുമ്പും ഉപയോഗിക്കേണ്ടതായി വരുന്നു അല്ലാത്തപക്ഷം നിനക്കവയെ നിയന്ത്രിക്കുക അസാധ്യം.

10 Many are the pains of the wicked; but him that trusteth in the Lord will he encompass with kindness.

ദുഷ്ടരുടെ അനർഥങ്ങൾ അസംഖ്യം, എന്നാൽ യഹോവയിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നവരെ അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹം വലയംചെയ്യുന്നു.

11 Rejoice in the Lord, and be glad, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

നീതിനിഷ്ഠരേ, യഹോവയിൽ സന്തോഷിച്ചാനന്ദിക്കുക; ഹൃദയപരമാർഥികളേ, ആനന്ദിച്ചാർക്കുക!
